What I needed....a great sound, clean delay
What I needed, a clean Echopex type delay. Splitting board as I use a 2 amp setup. This will work with the two/one "65/66 Deluxe Reverbs. My other to my Marshall. Good buy!

Authentic EP sound
I had a tape Echoplex a few years ago. I loved how it sounded, but it was a real pain to keep operating properly and too fragile and unreliable for gigs. I sold it and I now have the Belle Epoch Deluxe on my board. It is simply a very close replacement for the EP tape unit including that fabulous pre-amp. Other, similar delays have all kinds of features and such, but all I need is the EP delay sound, period. The BED has a few features which are fine, but what is best about it, for me, is that it sounds more authentically like a tape EP than any of the others with no operational drawbacks. I am satisfied.

Best echoplex pedal ever! Preamp is magic!
Best recreation of echoplex I’ve ever heard preamp is pure magic! I recommend everyone opens it up and switches it to “trails mode” so that you always get the benefit of that preamp. I sold my original, years ago, and had to buy it back because it’s that good (missed it greatly). With the new CB Tap this can’t be beat!

So much more than an echo box
Finally found the one, this thing sounds great even when the echoes are turned down because of the echoplex preamp that is always on.much more than a delay pedal--echoplex,analog delay-leslie speaker emulation--filter swept echo-deluxe memory man chorus and vibrato. get an expression pedal to unlock some great control. i think my favorite setting would be mode 1--noon,nine,nine,seven,seven with the exp pedal turned all the way back. i also adjusted the internal trim pot to not runaway so fast, the trim can be set to act like another echo sustain control that is linked to the left side footswitch. just a sidenote- the Morley m2 mini uses its "alternate" right side input as the control

Best echoplex clone I’ve heard
I love that this is pretty much an exact echoplex clone, built on an echoplex circuit and all but with extra features. The tone is incredible, and running it in bypass to just slightly color the tone of other effects or just an overdriven amp is a habit of mine since it sounds so good. It’s got me using pedals I often neglect too since it takes away a bit of the harshness of my Boss DS-1 and makes it sound more full.

Very Authentic - Down to the Noisyness
FYI: this pedal is NOISY. It was created to be EXTREMELY authentic and they did a BANG-UP job of it - but I think it was taken TOO far. Yeah, that old vintage equipment sounds great, but back when it was popular, that excess noise wasn't exactly a DESIRABLE thing, it was just a product of the technology of the time. We have better technology now, so take advantage of it. Just know, if you buy this, expect a certain amount of self-noise. If you're playing at full blast, you can't hear it very much. But as soon as you stop, or if you have quiet passages, expect you will be able to hear it. The preamp noise inherent in the original EP was duplicated for this pedal, and if you have an OD channel, or any guitar sound that has gain, this will be AMPLIFIED. I am selling mine. If I had known what I just typed here, I wouldn't have bought it. Both THIS pedal, and the Belle Epoch BOTH have this self-noise. Just FYI.I told the company about it, and they replied with this:"Unfortunately, the noise is byproduct of being faithful to the original preamp. Pushing the preamp a little less hard will keep some of the noise in check, so backing off the Record Level control will ease up on it."

Well worth the money
A great tool for amplified blues harmonica, easy to set up and use. Would be great if the oscillation switch would instead cut the effect so you can use the ep-3 preamp alone, rather than having to adjust the record and playback knobs when going between wet and dry preamped settings.
