My son never put it on his bike
It looks like a great rack, but honestly since he didn’t mount it in the bike I don’t know. But I would buy it again if I needed a bike rack.

It’s alright
The media could not be loaded. Not very satisfied with this product.- Turning it on the bar to tighten it doesn’t line up straight, so I had to modify it and turn the rack to where it’s straight and drill a hole through and put a bolt through and tighten it so it doesn’t keep turning.- Without the modification I did with the bolt, I also tried putting it in a straight position since it doesn’t turn on the bar straight, the only way to make it straight is by using those bars that attach to your bike frame, but I turned my bike into a rear suspension bike and used the bolt modification.- To attach the rack to the bike seat pole it still moves, it doesn’t have much movement but it will move when your coming to a tight turn and lean left or right at a certain angle.- The bolts that keep the gates on rattle, you can’t tighten them all the way to where it’s tight and doesn’t rattle, the only modification to remove rattling is by adding 2 to 3 washers depending on how thick they are to prevent the rattle.- The plastic orange clips that hold each gate together are cheaply made but work, so far none of mine are damaged but they don’t have very good grip, my gates tend to move when I have a load in the rack.- The straps are perfect, but the clips to attach it to something aren’t strong and break very easily without using a lot of strap force.- Weight, I haul a heavy battery in the back of this rack and it works just fine, when there’s weight, it’s more heavier and the rack does well.- I give this product a 3/5 star rating since I did modifications to make it work for a dual suspension bike and don’t have many issues besides a bit of movement which isn’t bad.- Pictures, the pictures I have will show the modifications I did and how it looks. This bike was transferred into an e-bike with this rack!

Very easy to install. Perfect size only wish the basket had and extention to go back future. I got a seat with a back rest on it and the basket was to close to the seat to go on.

Nice basket for my bike
This is a nice and sturdy basket that fit my mountain bike quite well. I typically ride my bike around town with my kids. I end up always carrying things for them on a backpack (like books to the library) and I don’t like that my back always ends up getting sweaty so I got this basket. My wife is from Japan and when we go see her family I you always see bike there with baskets in the front or the back as people actually use them to carry things.Installation took me about 40 minutes with no help. It was as not really difficult just a bit time consuming. The instructions were for the most part clear and accurate up to the point when you got to building the basket. It looks like the basket design got changed and the instructions did not get updated. You actually snap the 4th wall into place, you don’t need to screw it on like the instructions say.The things I liked were the construction quality, the spare parts to make sure it will fit the so se of your frame, and that all tools are included. It also includes a cover for the rack and and tie down cord. The two things I think could be improved are the size of the rack, as I would have liked it to be wider, and the fact that it won’t be easy to take the rack off. I would have liked a quick release mechanism as I sometimes have to use a car bike rack and I am sure it will get in the way when I load multiple bikes. Finally, I saw a user post that they had problems with the rack hurting their bottom as they sat on the bike seat. I am 5’11” and 190 lbs and had no problems in that regard. The rack sits far enough back that it does not bother me.Overall good rack and very happy with the purchase.

Strong enough for tools, light enough to love
Really appreciated this basket today pedaling like a demon in the rain. I had tools to work on my car in the basket along with my phone and wallet. Thanks to the straps and the nice cover bag everything but me got home safe and sound. I was wetter than wet and less than sturdy.Assembly will be easy if you grab a couple extra tools. I recommend vice grips but needle nose pliers will do the trick. If you have extremely strong fingers and grip you may be fine. The inside coating on the clamps for holding it onto the frame on either side came off of one before I got it attached. I tried to hold it on to tighten to save the paint on the bike but it's a bit crooked. The bolt on the main mount piece is huge. I didn't hit it today but I see a huge bruise in my future. I may take my bolt cutters to it. The orange plastic snap on corners showed distress after one time snapping them on. I won't be doing that again but they are holding fine. When I was riding and dealing with the usual bumps, dips and holes the basket held up perfectly. None of my items shifted or bounced around. The basket is right against the back of the seat so you can't push off the seat much. Held tight when I bumped my booty against it with no issues.Use 2 wrenches at the same time to mount the basket to the frame. It's easier to put the screws to the outside and the sleeve to the inside. I put a pic of the direction to make it easier on here too. Hope it helps.

Heavy, rattles, slightly missed the mark
Wanted to love it. Rear rack, with basket, and quick release.. sounds amazing. However, it’s heavy, the basket rattles and the threaded post comes undone without attaching the struts. If there were washers between the basket attachment, and a hole with a set screw to secure the threaded post, I might have kept it. Looking for a lighter more permanent rack.
