We have a couple of aggressive chewers that this was given to share. At first bite small pieces shattered off. Not a huge amount, but I just thought that maybe this would just be a tad messy and need a vaccuum later. Both dogs chewed on it for 5-10 minutes each. The open end of the horn was very jagged and looked pink. Turns out that it was causing both dogs to have bleeding gums. They loved it so uch that they didn't care. I however had to end the fun. Mild chewers may be able to have it with less issues. It was large and had absolute appeal to the animals.
