The bristles are indeed soft. It comes sparsely packaged in plastic, but is a quality little hairbrush. Suitable for a toddler or young child to tame fine to medium-thick hair or brush out ends of curly hair. My son likes the smooth handle and gentle massage it gives his scalp.

I bought this for my baby who had lots of shedding skin on his little bald head as he grew, and it worked so nicely. I was concerned that the natural fibers would be too rough but even his sensitive newborn skin was able to handle light brushing with this. It was so helpful with managing all of the flakiness and preventing cradle cap, particularly in the beginning when we couldn't yet bathe him frequently.

This brush is TINY, beware. Like really, really small; maybe for a doll. Disappointed.

I bought this for my father who has cancer , he needed something light weight and smaller to be able to lift it for his strength isn’t what it used to be and its also wonderful for babies and elderly with thinning hair without making hair have static ) All Win ). I love this brush! It’s well made and beautiful; a quality product. My son likes to play with it (six months) sometimes and it makes him look adorable when I brush his hair back. I would definitely recommend getting this brush. My son is still young though and doesn’t have thick hair yet so if you are looking to remove tangles on a toddler I would recommend boar’s hair. This goat hair brush is perfect for babies because it is so soft and gentle; it also never sheds. Mahalo for the wonderful product!

I love everything about this hair brush. It's soft, beautiful to hold. The brush is wonderful for anyone with sensitive scalps. It's easy to carry and easy to clean. The wooden handle is lovely , perfect for children , adults with small hands orpersons with arthritis.First, i purchased one. The goat hair is so much softer than boar, nylon, or metal bristles. Then I ordered 2 more as gifts.Everyone loved them.Perfect for all hair types, except people with long , thick hair styles.

I'm using this for my two year old. She has fine hair and this brush is soft but still actually brushes enough to be useful and detangle and smooth her hair.
