Ignore all the reviews about broken shells. Amazon will literally refund you if this happens. It’s not like they intentionally meant for them to break! I’ll never understand why people decide to take the time to write a negative review about an item arriving broken rather than contacting a team that will resolve the issue. Anyways, these shells are great. I was paying double the price at my local crafting store so this is a big savings for me. They come in all different sizes and are perfect for making these goofy little snails.

There needs to be an option for no stars!!Not even close to the size of shells I ordered.Do not waste your time buying these shells if you are planning on using them for hermit crabs.Will never buy again.

You get a lot of shells, for a decent price. Most are very tiny, but they come in good shape and not all broken up

We are new hermit crab owners so we learning as we go. Finding decent shells and determining sizing has not been as easy as I would have thought. I liked the idea of a little variety so I ordered this. When they arrived they appeared much smaller than I expected. They all look very nice, are in good condition and have wide openings. I was hoping to have a bit more variation in actual size but overall I am pretty happy with the products. 2 out of 4 of my Hermit Crabs changed shells within 2 hours of placing these shells (already boiled, cleaned and dried) into their habitat so I see that as a success for sure!!

I expected to have a reasonable number of leftovers that were going to be too small for my smallest crab, but I was rather disappointed to sort through the bag and only find four out of roughly forty, maybe fifty in the bag. He's not a big crab, but he's being rather choosy about his shell species. I'm concerned that the shell he came with is one size too small, so I'm trying to find one he likes more than that one.I'm going to use the only measurement system I can seem to figure out for these guys, as their bodies fill the shell opening. His legspan is about three fingers across. The shells that look like they would be an appropriate size are maybe an inch and a half tall at their longest, with just shy of 3/4" openings. They're the right kind of shell, just smaller than needed on average.I guess I'll try to use the rest to decorate the fish tank.
