Got what I expected
I bought some of these at the state fair one year and it ripped, they told me my purchase had a lifetime warranty but when I tried getting on the website that was on my receipt, it was nonexistent ๐คฃ so I was happy to find them on Amazon. They work fairly well, it takes some efforts to activate the first time but no issues after. I also thought the lavender smell would go away after boiling them but they still smell!

Great product
Perfect amount of heat relieves pain but doesn't burn. Very easy to activate however, in my largest pot I do have to boil them and then flip them because I can't get all of it under the water to reset in one go.

Great for comfort and Pain relief
Love this one. It actually has a lavender fragrance when you heat it up.The only reason I did not give it a 5-star, was that it's not that convenient to reactivate. For me, it's pretty easy. My husband put our Nesco cooker in the garage. I can walk out there and turn on the Nesco and I'm ready to use it again in about an hour. But if you use it for travel, that would be more difficult since trying to find a pot to boil water and heat it up again to reactivate.

Smells wonderful. Lacking in heat and sustaining heat
The products smell wonderful. Love the color and feels comfortable. At first, I thought the product was defective for I kept trying to activate for heat by clicking the metal object within the pad and it would not work. I did the same the the next day and it would nor work. I read the instructions to see if it needed to be pre-boiled to activate it and it did not. Just when I decided to give up, it worked.I have another one given to me a few years ago. I used that one for several years and even used it to help a family member during the latter 6 hours of her labor. It remained very hot the entire time. In comparison to that one (the first one substance began to disappear, thus me purchasing this current one), this one does not get nearly as hot. It's more like a low to medium heat setting on an electrical heating pad. The duration of heat lasts about 30-45 minutes. It does not cool down completely, just remains warm...lowest setting on an electrical heating pad. I did not need to wrap this, I could place it directly on my skin. I have not used it as a cold pack. As I mostly need it for heat.I would be reluctant to purchase if hindsight were 20/20. For the price, color and smell, I would be reluctant to return it.

Buy these!!!
I'm so glad I bought this heat pack set! It's awesome and exactly as advertised. The purple ones do smell like lavender, and not too overpowering. Definitely get these if you are recovering from an auto accident or sports injury and need heat therapy to relax your muscles. Some things to note:They need a few uses to reach their full potential in terms of heat and duration. Think of it like breaking in a shoe. The heat is not quite as intense as other heat packs I've tried. Imo it is a perfect temperature to put directly on the skin, without needing to be wrapped in a cloth. The disks need to be snapped back and forth several times on the first try, then only once or twice after that.Massage the pack every 10 minutes or so once activated to mix up the chemicals - it will soften up the pack and help the heat last longer. These guys are the most durable heat packs I've tried. One side is smooth and clear, the other side has a texture a little bit like those scritchy holographic cards. The heat comes through better on the smooth side. Pretty thick and seems to be well made.Re-using is not rocket science. Wrap the entire pack in a dishcloth or hand towel and set inside a large pot of boiling water. The best trick for the big pieces is to fold them up right away when you're done using them. When they're still a little warm you can squish the solution and move it around, wiggle and flex the pack before it completely cools and solidifies - you will thank yourself later rather than trying to manage a big, long piece in hot water. If needed you can mush it down into the water as it heats and softens, just be sure to spread out the cloth and do NOT let the pack touch the pot as it will absolutely melt and ruin it (not from experience, just the fact that hot metal melts things).Do not use metal tongs to handle them! They are not indestructible and can be punctured and you will be sad (yes, that is an experience from a previous brand but I'm not gonna test it again). I like to drain out as much of the water from the pot as I can, sometimes accidentally dumping the pack into the sink, then use an oven mitt to lay the pack out to dry on a towel.I haven't used these as cold packs, though I will say I left them in my freezing car for 30 minutes and they stayed cool for about an hour.If you've made it through this whole review then YOU NEED TO GET THESE HEAT PACKS!!! YOUR BODY WILL THANK YOU.

These stay hot for over an hour!
The product has these tiny disks in them that you must snap/click with your fingers to activate. I don't have a lot of strength in my hands so I wanted to use the neck one last night but I couldn't activate the disk. Also upon reading the rewarming directions I discovered that these are not microwaveable but instead must be heated in boiling water for 20 to 30 minutes. They are as effective as a heating pad for pain control but no cord/plug and no automatic shut-off after 20 minutes to worry about. I haven't tried these as cold packs yet.

Tiny heat packs work well once
These tiny heat packs are effective once but, after that, have to be placed in boiling water for 15 minutes to work again. I cannot recommend these. I would return them but have now used them. Not good value for your money. If you have time to boil them for 15 minutes or so between usages, then they will be fine but I would prefer something a little more convenient.

The product is really nice
The product does as described. The green one has really has the mint smell. However, not all of them worked. One of them would not activate by bending the click. It is a little frustrating, but, overall, 3 out of 4 working is not so bad.I would be happier if I could get a replacement of the one that didnโt work.

Very small
This was a lot smaller then I was expecting. Two of them worked right away and the other two I had to pop the thing 30 times to get them to activate. I like that they smell.

Works exactly as they are supposed to
Some people complain about the size but the write-up is very clear about the size. Some people complain that you have to boil them to reactivate them, again the write-up is very clear about this. This product has worked perfectly for me and I'm sure it will work perfectly for you.

Well made heat gel packs
These work great! After a bit if struggle with the initial activation, very convenient to reactivate. Wish the size wasn't so small, however, the subtle mint/lavender scent is relaxing.
