Best Cutter for quick DIY
Love how easy cutter is to use and very sharp. Cut my moldings for doors with no problems and cut my DIY project in half without having to use a saw .Love it

Cutting tool
It’s ok, but not what I expected. I was hoping for a one time press and done! But actually I had to try twice on both sides in order to get the cut. I’m going to keep it because for the price is still useful.

Disappointed ☹️.used
Used it once to cut a piece of of deco trim 1/2 wide by 1/4 thick and cutter failed. The wood was soft pine. The area where the tool pivots to cut the wood failed. Can not cut anything now. I threw it in the trash.

GOOD FOR VINYL MOULDING AND CRAFTS
The media could not be loaded. I really wanted to like this for small, wood trim work but I tried it with a lot of samples and the results were always hit and miss, but more miss. I’m a retired general contractor and my primary love is carpentry. Some people may be looking at this for installing base shoe but it’s just slightly too small to work easily with standard shoe. In experimenting with small trim, I got some very respectable results but I also got quite a few unacceptable cuts. With bypass style shears, the strategy is to sneak up on the cut, shaving off thin layers until the line is reached. That approach doesn’t work well with this because it has a symmetrical, tapered blade. This cutter works better in the middle of the field rather than trying to shave an end. That said, it worked better with softer materials like vinyl trim and nylon rod. I think where this tool would really shine is is for crafts and miniatures. I wish I would have had one of these when I built a custom doll house 40 years ago. It would have been perfect for trimming the tiny shingles and fitting the tiny trim. I tried popsicle sticks and it went through them like butter. If you are realistic about its limitations, it’s a good tool. I will be using this for many different things.

Junk
I purchased this to cut 1/8" vinyl trim. I usually use sheers which cuts easily but my pair are getting old. I saw this and thought having the fence would be nice. Well it would be if the blade actually made it through the material. Both me and my helper tried and we are both strong guys. No luck
