AKS Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel Food Jar, 16 Oz with a carrying bag (Pink)

I read soooo many reviews on thermoses, so I decided to give this one a chance since it was definitely the most attractive. I have tried other thermoses before, mostly for coffee and tea, and really wanted a good one to use to bring hot food to work. I have used it about 3 times since buying it, and have had a great experience so far! My go to tip is to fill it with boiling water, let it sit with the lid on for about 10 minutes, then empty it and add the food you want to keep hot. The first time I did this it kept my soup piping hot for 4 hours, the second time I did it it kept my soup piping (like burned my tongue at first!) hot for 6.5 hours! Another tip is to make the food you are adding super hot too, this will guarantee it stays nice and hot.I love that it has a little rubber piece on the bottom to keep it from slipping. The lid is great, and easy to clean. I was worried about it holding the smells of the food, but if you clean it right after use it doesn't stick around. The opening isn't too small, but it can be a little difficult to add the food, but I think I just need a canning funnel or something. It fits A LOT of food, and that makes me very happy. I also love the colors! My only critique is that the enamel is already scratched in a few places, and it will probably continue to scratch off.

This AKS vacuum food container really exceeded my expectations. It does its work very well and retains heat for more than 12 hours which really surprise me. Plus, it comes with a carry bag, very convenient to take out. Nice quality and sturdy construction. Love it!!

The first few times I used this container it worked fine with hot liquids. But now it seems to suction the lid on so tight I can't get the lid off. I have to use all my might and those rubber grip things to help. That is not very convenient at work when I don't have those utensils. I like everything else about this container, except I wish it held heat longer, seems to hold for 2-3 hours or so, but I'm spoiled by my coffee travel mug that keeps stuff hot for 5-8 hours!I would like this thing a lot more if the lid didn't suction on so tight. That pretty much is ruining this for me. Very frustrating.

So this is my second time ordering this brand, i first got the bottle water and i loved it, and since i stated packing my lunch to take with me to school i needed a food jar so i got this one ( i want the same quality and matching color to have like a set lol) its exaclty how i expected nice quality and beautiful color. It keep the food warm for a while and i can put about anything in it whether its cold or hot. It comes with a cute carrying bag. Now i kind of have the whole collection for my daily lunchbox. I don’t know if you guys care but I love this thermo it’s amazing, it’s just a little bigger than I thought! I put my fist in front of it just so you can know more or less how big this thermo is. Other than the size being a little bigger than what I expected it keeps my food hot and my drinks cold.

I needed a small insulated jar for carrying my yogurt to and from work. This did the trick. I read a lot of reviews and didn’t want to spend a lot of money because I didn’t know how often I would actually use it. Yeti and Hydro models were way out of my price range. I packed a couple of plastic ice cubes in the bottom with my yogurt in a sealed jar inside for a recent trip. The yogurt was still very cold when I unpacked it 16 hours later.

I agree with other reviewers--this container keeps food warm, but not hot. I tried another reviewer's method of heating food (in this case, soup) by filling the container with boiling water, covering the top and letting it sit for 10 minutes, then removing water and adding food (which in my case was a room temperature can of soup). Unfortunately, that did not work for me--at all. The container does, however, keep food warm when you combine the hot water method with adding super hot food. The container's mouth is also a little smaller than I would prefer. I don't understand why it is tapered at the top--perhaps design over function? The shape obviously won't work well for some leftovers like enchiladas or lasagna.Despite some misgivings, I am still pleased with my purchase. My department at work doesn't have a microwave and I can't stand the thought of having one in my office. Also, I like that the container holds two cups of food. If I'm going to eat soup for lunch that's about how much I need to be satisfied. I haven't tried storing solid leftovers yet (like pasta, curry, etc. ) but I hope it works for them as well.

This has become a favorite. It's easy enough for my 7yo to open and it can hold an entire can of soup. It hasn't leaked yet and it keeps everything nice and hot. Will be getting one for my daughter when she heads to school.
