These shade clothes have been working well over my garden. I cut them in fourths to custom them just a little bit and then I put them up temporarily for the Arizona summer heat and then I take them down for the cooler months. They didn’t fray when i cut them and they give great coverage.

This is a nice product for the pricing! I was able to custom cut strips and sew them onto a pulley system for shade cover in the veggie bed. Anything over 90 and the heirloom tomatoes and green beans halt production. Md summer can get brutal. These were absolute life savers during the high heat dome record breaking days. I was fortunate to have some left over and used it on the chicken tractor to help shade the girls food and water bowls. Is such a nice addition for many different things!

The size was a perfect fit for my 4x8 ft raised beds and very light. Just enough overhang on all sides to help with the sun angle as well as overhead. Plants were obviously lessed stressed by the intense sun within 30 minutes. Only issue is my metal clips distort, somewhat damage the plastic fabric.

This does not allow rain water through unfortunately. It’s 100% plastic.
