Operating instructions ?

There are a couple of things you want to make sure you check. 1. Make sure thermocouple nuts are tight 2. Listen for clicking sound after you insert AA battery in electronic igniter. 3. Have propane tank open. To start push igniter button while depressing an turning knob. When flames appear keep turning knob depressed for 20-30 seconds to allow thermocouple to heat up ( a safety feature). After 20-30 seconds you should be able to let go of knob and flames should stay.

Wgat do you connect the Thermocouple to?

As I think I recall, it connect to the valve.

how does flame stay lit? I am depressing igniter which is clicking, slowly turning on valve while depressing. when i let go fire goes out

I had the exact same problem w/my old system. Not this one. Turned out the old system was set up for natural gas, I had propane. You only need the regulator at the propane tank, not a second one at the valve. I could get the system to work if I held in the gas valve until the burner got warmed up. Hope my problem can help you solve yours.
