Suspenseful, beautiful and emotional!
Oof. This book knocked me on my backside from the minute I started reading! If it wasn’t for the need to sleep, I would have probably just read through the night and sobbed my way through most of it too. I’m still fairly new to Corinne Michaels’ stories, but I am definitely ready to get caught up in more! This one had a great balance of suspense, small towns and a swoony romance. In Give Me Love, you’ll find:✨ a marriage of convenience✨ second chances✨ leads with extensive military backgrounds✨ a feisty, awesome and sexy private investigator✨ a small town hunk of a sheriff✨ LOTS OF STRESSFUL SITUATIONS✨ a love for Sunday’s✨ an adorable puppy✨ tension, chemistry + banter✨ amazing friendshipsNot even the little teaser/snippet we got at the end of Help Me Remember could have prepared me for what this book was going to be. While serving time in the army, Blakely and Emmett decide to get married so they can reap the monetary and other benefits of being a couple in the military. And somewhere along the way feelings start to crop up. But when Emmett’s unit is hit and he’s taken down with a bullet and then medically discharged, everything goes awry. One night together turns into Blakely running off on her next tour, leaving Emmett behind. So he goes back to his hometown of Rose Canyon, sends Blakely divorce papers and settles into his role as the sheriff of the small town. Till Blakely shows up telling him he’s in trouble thanks to a case she’s working and everything goes wild.Emmett and Blakely’s relationship was so much fun. It was chaos, absolutely ridiculous at times, but on the whole, I loved it so much. While they’re still very much married and only ever once consummated this marriage years ago, their friendship is the strongest thing they’ve got going for them. Having served in the army for so many years, the two of them have a shorthand that is unbeatable and chemistry that is undeniable. I loved how both of them worked to irritate the other constantly, how their friendship/relationship/marriage is complicated and yet it makes sense all the time. Their banter is wicked and while there’s some amount of fighting and arguing, I love that those little moments really strengthened their connection and bond. Corinne did such a good job of building up their frustrations and showing just how much they do love each other, even if their pasts and their struggles keep holding them back.Unlike the first book, this one is a lot heavier on the suspense. Don’t get me wrong, Help Me Remember had a lot of suspense going for it, but Corinne amped it up in this. Between figuring out why young girls are going missing to being introduced to a whole heap of new characters and possible suspects, this book really keeps you at the edge of your seat. There’s only so much one can say about that part of the story without giving away spoilers, just know that Blakely and Emmett’s relationship goes through so much (not conflict wise, just everything else) before they come out on top. And Corinne built up that suspense and stress so wonderfully! And that little teaser at the end for book three has me so excited to see where Holden’s story is going to go!

Loved it so much!
Ever since I read that one scene with Emmet & Blakely in book one I wanted to read their book so bad. And I admit that this couple has quickly become my favourite! This book has a military medic heroine who is afraid to love someone in the fear of losing them because she has already suffered so many loses in her life and an ex-military now turned sheriff hero who would go to any lengths to keep her safe even when she left him. Emmet & Blake's love story was all consuming, full of action, mystery and suspense. It was one thrilling ride which I thoroughly enjoyed! I loved all the side characters including the original ones Spencer, Brielle, Holden and some other new additions. I adored Blake so much. She was mischievous, witty, smart and strong. And Emmett was just as playful, clever and drool worthy! They were such a perfect match for each other because their connection was spectacular. This book was remarkably phenomenal, I will always love and remember Emmet & Blakely.

✔️Romantic Suspense✔️Both are a little Cray-Cray with Stormy Intensity 😍✔️He's the Cop and she's the medic turned investigator✔️Swoony, Sexy, Suspenseful, Devastating yet Healing in the Best way with all the feels😍🅼🆈 🆁🅴🆅🅸🅴🆆:OH MY GOODNESS.. I'M CRYING AND SMILING AND JUST SUPER CRAZY OVER THE TOP HAPPY AFTER READING THIS CRAZY RIDE. 😭😻😻🔥Emmett and Blake are like thunderstorms crashing against each other but finally coming together into refreshing rains of love. 💟💟Ahhh.. I'm just overwhelmed and need a minute. So the story is Emmett is the town sheriff and out of nowhere guess who's back in town? He's estranged wife or rather the wife who left him and moreover nobody even knows he's even married.Blakely might be back in town for work but that's just an excuse for coming back to Emmett. But Emmett wants to do nothing with her and so begins the crazy fight where this two lock horns time and again to get what they want even though what they want is the same. The freaking twister comes when the simple investigation that Blake is back for in Rose Canyon turns more suspicious each day until things begin to escalate until everything changes for both Emmett and Blake.I WAS BARELY HANGING ONTO THIS RIDE. ONE MINUTE I WAS SMILING WITH MY CHEEKS ACHING AND HAVING A BLAST OVER EMMETT AND BLAKE'S HILARIOUS ANTICS AND CRAZY FUN BANTER.AND THEN... I so didn't see this twist coming and I have to say the author shocked me and I was so all over the place when this twister came. 😳😳😭😭😭I didn't know what to think or what would happen and then..... OH MY..... Ms. Michaels You're one freaking genius for the crazy Intensity and High Voltage twists filled with all the swoons this one had. Also, what was that at the end about Holden. Oh my... I can't wait for his book next. 😍😍I'M IN FREAKING LOVE WITH EMMETT AND BLAKE. I JUST WISHED THIS ONE WOULDN'T END AT ALL. WHAT AN AMAZING AND ABSO-FREAKING-LUTELY GORGEOUS RIDE. LOVED FREAKING LOVED THIS ONE. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

An enjoyable read. Vague spoilers ahead.
I read the first book in this series and then the third book popped up to read. But, I do enjoy reading things in order, so once I realized the third book was indeed the third book, I went back to find what I missed before reading it, and that was this book. While there were a few typos, one very early on in the book which was disappointing, there weren't that many for the rest of the book that I caught. So that was nice. Every time I find typos at the beginning it makes me worried about how the rest of the book will go, but this one was fine thankfully.Overall, the characters are very fun to read about and well-written. The story was great. Had the friendship components (each other and their extended friends in Rose Canyon) and the danger components and the underlying love throughout.I knew what she thought had happened did not happen, because that would make for a really sucky book. Though it does happen in reality. That's not what these books are about. And I would have been just as mad and hurt as she was after finding out the truth. And when she had to turn herself over to save them both? Oh man. That was rough. Him having to watch her walk away? Painful. Though, asking for the file enabled Emmett and his friends to tie the connection, so it was also a dumb move on the bad guys part. The life that they build together though is definitely lovely. And based on the bonus epilogue, they are doing so much good in the town and for each other.I do feel like the book fell short for closure. We never found out who the bigger boss was behind it and even in the bonus epilogue, which if you don't sign up for and read, you never will know what happened a little bit at least. The book ends that they're going to go to trial. But that's for The immediate situation she had just gotten out of. That's not telling us what happened to everyone else. So I didn't feel like I got a complete story. Sure, they got their happily ever after. But there was this whole story that was built up around the missing girls that was never resolved and that, it's just disappointing.

love it
Gahhh I loved this book!!!What a unique situation and god the tension was absolutely high!I love this kind of books when the characters have some kind of relationship. One thing I didn’t like was through the end of the book, some decisions the MMC made, I was so mad at him, and I thought it was cruel and unnecessary and she forgave him to fast, but overall I loved the plot!

So much action!
Wow! 'Fake marriage romantic suspense' does not do this justice! I started my jorney with Corinne at The Salvation series. I love that the characters I know and remember keep popping up to support their friends across the country. Emmett and Blakely — well, they're already married. So, what do you do? Thing is, they did it for maybe the wrong reasons at the time, but maybe the right reasons were always in their hearts.Blakely is trying to find a missing teenage girl. This stirs up problems wherever she tries to dig. Fortunately, Emmett has her back, even if they have been apart for a few years. There was a load of action in this fast-paced suspense — had to get to the end!
