As good as I remembered!
This is the muesli I enjoyed in the late 60s and early 70s, with most of the sweetness from apples and raisins and very little from sugar, just 5 added grams per 1/2 cup serving. I like to let milk or half-and-half soak into a bowl of it to soften up the whole grains, then enjoy its heartiness slowly. So glad it's available now!

Really good! The red box (sugared) tastes best & is NOT too sweet!
The Familia red box (w/sugar) is the best meusli I've had, the same I had in the 1960s! For me, the sugar actually tastes better than the plain, and it's def. NOT too sweet. Don't be dissuaded by all the no-sucrose comments - it's just individual preference, just as some ppl drink their coffee black. The red box Familia makes a nutritive, fairly creamy, easy-to-eat oatmeal, esp. w/milk (or even a bit of cream added, as many in Europe do). To make it creamier, add the milk/cream, and set it in the 'fridge for 5-10 mins. The longer you leave it (even overnight), the creamier it becomes as it absorbs the milk (maybe the barley adds smoothness). The nut & raisin proportion is perfect: not too much or too little. If contents may have settled, I'd take it out of the bag, mix it around in a large bowl, & return it to the orig. bag. Forget Bob's Red Mill and Alpen - their bran/woody flavor is too strong & bitter, and overpowers the oats. Bob's has so many inclusions that it can seem like eating wood chips - & it strangely has MASSIVE amounts of sunflower seeds - over 150-200 per bowl! My pkg arrived OK, tho wasn't professionally pkg'd - & it IS a shame that this seller sends a few broken, opened, & out of date. Overall, I'm glad to be able to buy this, as it's not always avail. in stores. I don't think it's too costly - esp. when compared by weight to to typical overly sweet, low nutrition cereals.

Great value for money, wholesome breakfast
This is some of the muesli you can get, in terms of dollar value, and among my favorites in terms of substance. I've been trying different mueslis for more than a year now; this was one of the first I ever tried and set the standard for the others to follow. I prefer the Familia Swiss Muesli to Alpen and many varieties of Seitenbacker, and like it about equally with most varieties of Bob's Red Mill. I find the Original a bit sweet for my preference, and prefer the No Sugar Added version, but this is still good, especially if you blunt it with some plain rolled oats. It has a strong grain profile, a bit of fruitiness, and no oat bitterness to speak of. I've tried it plain, with 2% milk, and with hot water and it is good in all cases. One box tends to last me about 10-15 meals, depending on how they go. If not for the extra sweetness it would have an easy five stars, but for most people I don't think they'd mind, it is more on par with Kix than Frosted Flakes. If you like muesli, or want to get into it, this is a great starting point, I would definitely recommend it.

Awesome but I'm switching to the "no added sugar" version
Tastes great, very good nutritional stats, and the ingredient list is excellent in its simplicity. The sugar is a little on the high side for me so I plan to switch to the no sugar added version. The box was a little beat up from shipping but the inner bag was still sealed and the contents were fresh so it's fine. I will probably get the 6 pack next time and hope that they all come better protected in a box. I'm very thankful to be able to get a muesli that doesn't have some or all ingredients from China because I don't want melamine in my food. Ten bucks doesn't seem so bad for a box of actual food versus chemicals and poison. 2022-10-02 Update I got the no added sugar version and tried it. Familia Swiss Muesli Premium, No Sugar Added, 21 Ounce I can't review it separately I guess because even though it is different from the Familia Swiss Muesli Original Recipe, 29 Ounce Box version they are sold as versions of the same product from the same product page. The no sugar added version is better. The flavor seems a little more oaty to me but I like it because unnecessary sweetness is kind of gross. I will only be getting the no sugar added version going forward. Note that the no sugar added is less ounces so it definitely has a premium on the price but it's worth it.

So Good to eat!!
I love this cereal! I used to eat it as a teen and now I am way past that .. Yet I still love to eat it. I love its simple and not sickly sweet!

Boxes are made of two ply tissue.
This packaging is poor. The cardboard is terribly thin and they only had it wrapped in thin plastic. The boxes looked like they had been on the bad end of a brawl. I wish I had looked at the customer photos before ordering. However, I was purchasing the cereal for its taste.

Great muesli and reasonably priced.
Always comes fresh and ready to enjoy! And very reasonably priced, considering the amount of muesli that comes in each box. P.S.- whenever I order...it comes well-packed and in a short period of time.
