Why not just call them hardballs?
I was looking for some youth "soft" balls and these are actually just plain old baseballs without an emblem. So, I'm just asking...why not just call them hardballs?

Not really much softer than a real baseball.
Bought these balls for my younger son who is starting to learn how to play baseball. He got hit in the mouth the other day while he was learning to catch so I thought I would buy these and maybe they would be a little bit softer, but they are not. If this ball hits him it is going to hurt just about as bad as a regular baseball.
