A friend of mine recommended these. She has 2 large dogs and doesn't want them on her furniture. I didn't want my dog on my furniture anymore either. So I got some to give it to try and they are very effective. Little buddy put his paws on them one time and did not like those pointy plastic pieces poking into his paws. A great deterrent the does not require chemicals or other restraints. Our boy has access to parts of the house he should, and this keeps him away from the parts he's not supposed to be bothering. Make us all happy because he can look out the window and doesn't get fussed at when I get home cause he's been on my good furniture. Win-win!!!It does come with double-sided adhesive squares so that you can connect them together to make one large piece. The pieces are sturdy yet very light weight and flexible And you could easily cut them to fit up a particular shape if squared didn't work. While primarily created to keep the dogs and cats off your furniture, you could also use them on the floor to keep them out of certain areas as well, such as a way from the trash can. You may need to sit something on the edges to hold them onto the floor like as a can or something as they are slippery plastic. But a few attempts to walk on these and puppies and kitties would most definitely think otherwise. Since they are light weight and a bit slippery and might be knocked off by the puppy attempting to get on the sofa, you may need to put some on the sofa or chair AND on the floor in front of it as an extra precaution. I used this method and it got the job done.I gave these 5 stars for comfort because now we both have the comfort of knowing he's not on my furniture and getting scolded. Though I seriously doubt it's a 5 star comfort when he steps on it.

Works great! I wish they included more sticky patches, but I don't really have any complaints. I have been using this to deter my cats from eating my plants and to keep them off of this strange ledge I have that hangs 2nd floor level on the wall across from the foot of the stairs leading to the 2ns floor. It's accessible if the cats go through the railing on the second floor hallway (which is open). My cat fell from it while asleep and dislocated his hip. 😢 I've cut these into shape and have it not only on that weird ledge but also in-between the base of the spindles on the railing. It is now no longer accessible because they don't wish to step on these spikes. No more weird vet bills, and my plants aren't being destroyed down to numbs or knocked over. Yay!

This mat is easy to cut to size. I put it on either side of my windowsill to keep the cats from running a circuit around the room and walking the narrow ledge in front of the TV. They tried walking on it and soon stopped altogether.

At first my cat wouldn't walk on these. Now, he walks all over these. They quit working. I need to go back to sticky paws 🐾

Great product and keeps the pets off the leather couch!

My cat was jumping up onto tv table, stretching full and putting his paws on top of tv. A dangerous situation both for him and the tv.I wasn’t sure this would work. The vet tech told me about it.I placed two in front of tv on the table. First night he jumped up, actually stood on the spiky mat a few seconds and then jumped down. Second night he stood below, and must have thought better of it. Third night, completely ignored it.Bad behavior has been unlearned! It worked very well and I plan to use it around Xmas tree this year to keep him away.

My cat loves this,she thinks it's fun toy to run across,lay on, chew and scratch it to makes lots of noise,don't buy this,it doesn't work,I wanted to stop her from going under my bed and ripping the bottom,but still having that problem.

We had tried a few other brands before and my cat would still jump on them and the paws would fit in between the spikes. This one however, does not allow for their feet to fit and it's sturdy enough so it doesn't bend when they jump up on it. They immediately jump back down and I love it. I also like that it's clear so they're not looking for it to see if it's up there because it's much harder to see. I haven't had my cats jump on the counters in about 2 months now.I also love the fact that they all stack together so whenever I take them up off the counters in the morning I can just stack them together and set them in a place and not have to worry about them fitting awkwardly somewhere.

My cat no longer goes where these mats are installed. Didn’t even try. Perfect deterrent tool.

Product really works I put pieces in places anywhere I don’t want my dog to be in front of closet and garbage can etc and it’s actually helping them to keep off areas where they’re not allowed very happy with product 😊😊
