I guess it might work, just didn't for my gear.
So i'm confused, This is the receiver for the Godox Sony trigger. Godox makes flashes that have the built in wireless ability to communicate with the Godox trigger, so i'm assuming this receiver is for NON Godox flashes.According to one listed for this product, the manufactures description indicates:"This 2.4 GHz system is compatible with Sony cameras and flashes that support ADI / P-TTL for automatic exposure and metering..."I have a Sony flash, HVL-F58am. Now while my flash is listed as a supported Sony flash for my Sony camera to do TTL, when I attached this flash to this receiver and attempt to do TTL, the exposure is always dark. It also seems like the receiver is telling my flash to do more than 1:1 power as I started to smell something burning after a few shots.Seeing that the TTL might not work, I was still hopeful that the manual controls might work and during my initial testing, it did look like i could remotely control the power output on my Sony flash with the Godox Trigger/Receiver combo. However once I took the setup to a shoot, i quickly realized that this wasn't the case. I fired out 3 shots with the same settings (not immediately back to back, but within a few seconds of each other) and the exposure was off too much between shots. Now let me start off by saying, i'm very new when it comes to dealing with flash, more specifically off camera flash. So perhaps I'm doing something wrong. I reached out to a few facebook groups to get tips from other godox users but they all use the godox flashes with the godox triggers. There is some reason to believe that perhaps Godox does support working with Sony flashes but mine might not be on that list. It is hard to tell as they dont provide a list and product support is HORRIBLE with these guys. From that same group of Godox users, they all say the same thing.. very cheaply priced and most of the time things just work, but when things go sour, your better off asking around or just rebuying. 1 gentlemen said it took over 1 year to get support to reply to his concerns and he feels that it was because he went viral with his concerns that sparked them to reply. So i kinda went off the rails in the last paragraph...I am returning the system HOWEVER, Godox still seems to have a good amount of positive support when it comes to its users. At the time of this review, Godox offers a Pro trigger but it is only for Nikon and Canon. Godox's statement is that they are making this Pro trigger for Sony (and others). My plan is to revisit buying the Godox Pro trigger and a Godox Flash so I can better pull off using wireless TTL system. If something thinks that I was doing something wrong with my setup, please feel free to comment.

WAIT, WAIT! X1R-S DOESN'T WORK YET!
ZDMoon, seller, did a wonderful job getting these to me -- THANK YOU, SELLER! I bought 3 to go with my Sony flash units. I have the transmitter -- X1T-S that I use with Godox flashes. Those work perfectly together. On the other hand, the X1R-S so far is a Godox work-in-progress. Godox updated the firmware for the transmitter, X1T-S, but nope, nope, nope. The X1T-S DOES NOT WORK with these X1R-S receivers with Sony flashes mounted. The only useful triggering is with the Sony flashes set to MANUAL. Otherwise, the triggering is completely unpredictable. Trying to trigger on TTL is a waste of time because sometimes it doesn't fire at all, sometimes TTL works and produces a properly exposed image, but most of the time the flash fires full power. And most of the time that means a useless white-out frame. And guess what? I can fit my Sony flashes onto an X1R-N for Nikon or onto an X1R-C for Canon and use them in manual-only. Same as the X1R-S! So there's no advantage -- yet -- in buying the Sony unit.

Dependable
Great product; dependable, versatile, and affordable. A bit of a learning curve, but You Tube has plenty of videos to help.

Not compatible with Nissin Di700A
I quite enjoy my V860II + X1T-S combo and I still own an old day set up of Nissin Di700A(Sony Version). So I decided to use this receiver to continue using my old flash under Godox wireless flash system. However, it just doesn't work at all, below is different results I got:1. It may be triggered but at significantly lower output2. It may be triggered 1 seconds later than it should be3. It won't be triggered at allRegardless of above three situations, the test button on my X1R-S will never trigger my Nissin Di700A.
