Review update:Seller reached out to me and send the replacement trash can. It works as expected. Thanks for the fast response!Since I have no use of the old trash can, I disassembled it to find out what went wrong.The root cause of the problem is the circuit control board, now fairly rusted, due to the lack of proper waterproof sealing. See attached photos for details. The trash can is advertised as waterproof, in reality it is not. There are holes around the inside of the case, moisture can easily sneak in and damage the circuit board. I would strongly recommend manufacturer add proper seam to the casing, to make it truly waterproof.============================== Original Review ===============================I had this bathroom trash can for little less than 6 months now. Initially I liked its design and function a lot. It fits in the tight space of my bathroom perfectly. The first set of batteries lasted three months, and I was quite impressed with its "long battery life".Then all sorts of issues started surfacing, after 3 months of usage.The first problem is the motion sensor. Its detection range gets weaker and weaker overtime. Now I have to virtually touch the lid to get it to open.The second problem is the fact the trash can is not properly sealed, thus not waterproof. After each shower, there are water condensations around the battery door, overtime it compromise the life of the battery. See attached photos for the battery compartment for details.And then the battery life gets shorter and short after each replacement. The first set of battery lasted 3 months. The second set lasted 1 months. Now I have to replace the batteries every 3 days, which is ridiculous. I suspect it has something to do with the water condensation at the battery compartment. This product is advertised as "waterproof", in reality it is not.Unless you only want to keep it for a few months, otherwise I do not recommend buying this trash can, for the issues mentioned above.

My husband using for catherization wands disposal, so sanitary is most important! This makes it so easy to keep germs at bay! Love it! Plus easy to bag and throw away!

Okay, I love this little trash can. But I did a poor job of anticipating any issues associated with where I wanted to place it (underneath a bathroom counter). That’s my bad!!! Because the mechanism that detects motion to raise the lid kept activating because it was detecting the countertop above it. If placed in the open room, this is not an issue, it would simply detect when your hand would approach the can to open the lid. So I ended up just removing the batteries and leaving the lid open. I decided this can was so nice/good looking that I’d keep it. I could at some point move it out into the open where the opening mechanism would be beneficial.

Love these garbages, got two of them. I have septic in my house and wipes and tampons cannot be flushed so this garbage is the alternative to actually buying a diaper pale. Size is perfect, comes with plenty of drawstring bag refills. Love them

Lid opens quickly and closes just as fast which then causes it to make a mild slap sound…hence four stars. Looks great and fits in narrow spaces; although I ordered grey and received white. No false opening of the lid since your hand needs to be close to it.

Exactly as described, fits perfectly between my toilet and the cabinet. Operates smoothly, just love it.

Not sure I attached the bags correctly, since I could only read the directions with a magnifying glass. Seems to be working well. Very sensitive motion detector, but it is in a small space. So far very happy and it came with a ton of bags.
