I read most of the reviews and decided to give it a try. When you can’t have chocolate it’s nice to know there are alternatives! This carob powder is great. I use my instant hot water (dissolved very quickly) added Oatmilk creamer with vanilla, stirred it with a frother (from Amazon) and zapped it in the microwave for thirty seconds and voila it’s my version of the best cocoa around!

This products takes away my craving for chocolate. I appreciate the fact that it is not a stimulant.

Five stars for the carob powder, three stars for the package. This powdered carob has great flavor and is a good chocolate substitute. The package, however, is inconvenient. It has an upward crease on the bottom dividing the bottom into two sections, making it difficult to remove the last of the powder with a two-tablespoon spoon. Overall, the packaging problem is minor, but it would be nice to have a package that gives up its last remains of product easier.

I like to drink cocoa but got very worried about the cadmium issue. As far as I can tell researching, no cadmium is concentrated in Carob bean pods. The taste of a hot carob drink is very nice, like a slightly floral cocoa, but just slightly. Works well for me as a safer cocoa replacement.
