KenmoreKC92PBZTZV06 Vacuum Hose Swivel Genuine Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Part

This was a good replacement for the straight swivel for the 81714 Kenmore 800. Note there is a small key ridge on the plastic housing about 1" long and 1mm tall, that I needed to remove with a sharp blade (or you could use a Dremel.) I assume the model this is made for, which may have come later, has a key slot that helps stabilize the interface since it fails quite often. This key ridge prevents the insertion of the swivel into the interface. Once removed, the swivel can be inserted and worked fine, and I think the angled swivel probably results in less stress on this key wear part than the straight swivel.

Was exact match. There is a video on YouTube on how to replace. Made it easy.

Recommend watching a YouTube video before attempting to install the part but the part itself is a perfect replacement.

This is exactly the part that I needed. My sister's vacuum had split at the slip rings in this part, so a replacement was the only suitable fix. (I fix a lot of broken stuff, but this carries house current and the brushes for the rings were eroded from arcing--I wasn't going to try to bodge that back into shape!) I'm tempted to give it four stars, because the installation of this part (heck, even the removal of the old part) is a real pain--this is designed to be replaceable, but only barely, and it's extremely difficult to squeeze the parts together after you get the hose positioned. But that's really not the fault of this seller; it's just the design of the vacuum. This part itself is exactly the way it's supposed to be.
