Loud and proud
So I ride a Ninja and that stock horn is not something that gets the attention of idiots who run a stop sign in front of you in 5 o'clock traffic. I recently replaced my fairings and while I had them off, I installed the horn and the speaker that comes with in the set. WOW... damn near deafened myself testing it in the garage. It's loud, it's an attention getter... think firetruck horn. Not the siren, the traffic horn. or the police car horn. Two short blasts on this thing turn heads instantly. Heads come up off the damn cell phone texting and you see all eyes in the mirrors. Love this thing. Rarely use it but when I need it, it's powerful and gets people focused instantly.

Air horn
This was the exact part I needed. Now my horn works like it should.

Won't work for name brand speakers!
The media could not be loaded. I bought one if these in 2018 and it still works flawlessly. I recently acquired a second vehicle that I wanted to install this in however it's been redesigned. I thought the redesign was only excluding the internal relay which would be no big deal, However, it turns out its been completely redesigned and it no longer works with name brand siren speakers which are all 11ohm speakers. This redesigned unit will only work with the cheap no name speakers which are 8ohm. The description still claims it will work with all 100w speakers but it doesn't. I contacted the company directly and after multiple days of sending messages, pictures and videos they told me it is guaranteed to work with only their 8ohm siren speakers. They sent me links to purchase one of their speakers and outright refused to send me one. I'm returning this.Read the reviews and note Amazon's notice that this item sees high returns. The reason is stated above. Don't buy this onless you are also buying a cheap chineese speaker to use it with because it doesn't work with federal signal siren speakers. They said mabye whelen speakers but I'm not willing to spend more time or money to find out. Search up lamphus soundalert air horn on YouTube I'm going to make a video about this.

Highly recommend!
So I got this for Christmas and hooked it to the siren speaker I have already. It didn’t work. Contacted the company directly and they sent a replacement. The replacement didn’t work. So they deduced that my siren speaker was the right impedance for the horn. So they sent me a brand new one of theirs. It worked! I asked if I owed for the speaker they said no. So I have to say even though it wasn’t in the description that I needed an 8 ohm impedance speaker they made it better by helping me figure it out and providing me a speaker for the trouble. I do recommend. When I tested the system it was loud and made me jump standing next to it lol. So yeah it is loud lol.

Hope this updated electronics horn box lasts longer than the original did!
Owned the original style with the built in horn relay (yellow wire). That burnt out after about 15 months. This newer model deleted the internal relay, necessitating an external relay. So far, unit is working, but time will tell. Was the internal relay removed as a cost cutting measure or was it removed because it was failing??

Great tone, very pleased with the outcome.
I was a bit sceptical at first when ordering as there was little information available out there on this electric air horn, but I am overall extremely satisfied with the sound/ tone when paired with my Feniex 100 watt speaker. It is very compact and seems to be well constructed. I will put a link up in the next day or two on YouTube. So far a great purchase, definitely a recommend !

UPDATE Unit Failed; Replacement unit CHANGED
Below is the original review, I’ve since sold the entire truck and started fresh - ordered this Lamphus unit but the unit now misses a yellow wire in which could be the relay. I’m not adept to understanding relays and all, give me instructions that are clear and an easy enough install and I’m good. But I received NO instructions and realized when it was time to install that the yellow wire that was on the old unit is missing here. When I tried testing I couldn’t get the thing to play nice, the unit draws power whenever it’s constantly on. So I’m probably going to look elsewhere for an emergency horn. The one thing I hate are the units with the sirens, tables and whatnot which are not legal for using in my state. I just want a low and loud sound like this generates but whatever is happening at Lamphus is destroying my confidence. While I would like to run outside in sub-zero temps to take photos of my air horn unit, I think I'll just advise you of how things are going after almost one full year of use.The entire unit has worked flawlessly, with the horn being installed facing front behind the grille of a 2011 Highlander. It's HEAVY. I had removed the grille in the first place to install Feniex quad surface lights and it just made fitment, with a hole being drilled into an aluminum bar at the base of the radiator. Hooked the system to a Swatow Industries 6 Gang Switch Panel, fired it up with a momentary toggle switch and that puppy rocks. Truly makes a distinguished sound that goes beyond simple car horn, and startles people who don't expect the sound. When dispatching to front line scenes, using it as well as the bank of grille, dash, hideaway and visor LEDs move traffic along the way. They're used as "courtesy" lights, of course no one HAS to move but they do.I've driven in the rainy season, extreme heat and wintry weather, used wands for high pressure car washing and not once has the horn faltered. It doesn't do high/low pitch but a steady fire truck kind of blare. We have laws against using the high/low pitch of sirens, and this keeps my POV in compliance.Absolutely glad that this was installed, it works and I hope that SoundAlert/Lamphus produces a "rumbler" speaker that uses dual pitch sounds that penetrate better.
