Very surprised at how durable and long-lasting these nails are! I’m very particular about my nails. I always do acrylics with gel polish at the salon. I have done them myself in the past with acrylic powder but the polygel was much easier and quicker to work with! It takes a little practice but if you follow the instructions it’s pretty “dummy proof”. Be sure to brush out underneath the nail for no clumping but make sure there’s enough product for no gapping as well. An electric grinder/file works best. I got a cheaper one and it works just fine. I did cure both top and underneath of my nails for about 2-3 minutes (longer than suggested) each time and they came out great! Takes a little longer but worth it. I used gray for my first color and it did create kind of an ombré effect (not sure if that was user error or just normal for the product) but it’s cute! I’ve had mine on for two weeks now and there’s no sign of breakage or popping off. Haven’t tried removing them yet but a great product thus far! Some reviews mention damage to nails during removal but I’m used to that with acrylics so that’s expected. Tons of compliments and people are in shock when I tell them I did it myself!

This kit was great with everything you need to get started. The colors are neutral which I like. I watched several video on how to apply the gel. The instructions provided did not go into detail. It takes time and patience to get the amount of gel needed per nail. I think if I keep using this the application will get better.

Super cheap for all the stuff you get, the little light is super strong! Get you a bottle of 70% alcohol (I prefer using it to be a slip solution) and I apply nail tips before putting the poly gel on it. This is my second set, there was a tiny bit of a learning curve but it is so much nicer than acrylic because it doesn’t dry up so you can work with it as long as you need to. It is better than gel because you can control your consistency with the 70% alcohol. This is the first time I’ve done nails at home with something and they both look good on my left AND right hand, I’m so excited to keep playing with this stuff and see how good I can get. (Pro tip: watch lots of YouTube videos and make sure not to flood your cuticle area or the nails look weird. Also be careful with your file bc it will leave scratchy looking marks on your nails, maybe get a buffer if you can to smooth it before applying the top gel! Other than the learning curve 10/10 easier than anything else I’ve done at home .

Excellent starter kit. Would have been a five star review but the colors were a bit off and the included instructions were seemingly translated & didn't quite make sense. Not an issue because I'm not too picky about colors and there are plenty of online tutorials.
