Stage 8 8900 Locking Header Bolt Kit for GM Small Block

What I like about the Stage 8 8900 Locking Header Bolt Kit, I like how I installed the kit and have had no exhaust leaks since. Very easy to install and most importantly, no leaks. Prior to installing this Header Bolt Kit, I would have to retighten the bolts at least weekly and still have an exhaust leak somewhere. Now, no leaks and I have not touched or looked at the bolts for over a month. I installed the Locking Header Bolt Kit on a 1999 GMC 6.0 with Long Tube Headers.

If you put headers on an engine you need these bolts. Trust only stage8 header bolts

Review would have been 5 stars but it was missing 1 "E" clip and had 5 extra tear dropsretainers. It also would have been nice if they had included the slightest bit of instructions. On my LS1 the first pass on the bolts is 11 ft lbs, the second/final pass is 18 ft lbs. The kit comes with 4 retainers that have the ends bent over and they go on the bolts second and fourth bolts from the front. Probably common sense but a little piece of paper with the slightest bit of direction would be helpful!

Very nice quality stuff here. I have tried so many fasteners on my headers and turbo manifolds and finally found the ones I'll use from now on. The concept is so simple and yet works so well. I dont have the patience to deal with the one you wire together with steel wire and slick up your hands. Highly recommended that you invest in these, you wont be sorry. A little extra coin but its well well worth it.

Wrote a one star review at first because I thought I only received 10 bolts but the other two fell under my recliner

Forget anything else. These bolts will stay in place, and come out with no effort when required, as no Loctite is required.

Never an issue using Stage 8 products.
