I've used Bart's after shave products before and so was pleased to see that he had released a pre-shave oil. And after a few uses I can report it is excellent. A pleasant lime smell but more importantly my morning shave has definitely been sharper and with less irritation when I have used it.It's a 50ml bottle but you only need a few drops so it is going to last for ages. Work it well into the skin and then I use my shaving brush and soap as normal. Then a couple of passes with a safety razor and its as smooth as you can get. Heartily recommend!

After trying one of the smaller bottles and enjoying it I decided to go for a bigger bottle. It arrived safe and sound in a very nice presentation tube. On opening it……..the product had spilt and I had lost some due to this. I tried contacting Bart’s via their website and also contacted them from a message sent via Amazon and no reply ! It’s pretty obvious that the top had not been screwed down fully causing leaking. Appreciated is the fact this is a small business, but not replying…….well there is no excuse !Back to the product though, it smells great, washes of hands easily and helps give a great shave. Would I buy again ? Well I do chop and change and enjoy many different products, the only thing that would make me buy again would be that washing off hands. Based on customer service ? NO ! You never ignore your customers!

Excellent pre-shave oil that isn't greasy, smells great and doesn't leave a tide mark in the sink.

Thought I'd give this a wirl as I use the post shave balm but for me personally I think the pre shave proraso does a better job .Smells nice 🤷

I've tried quite a few pre-shave oils, but this new packaging from Bart's Balm is a game-changer. I've used Bart's Balm before, but the only issue I had was that I used to run out of it quite quickly. However, with the introduction of this new 100ml bottle, the longevity has massively increased.The oil provides an extremely slick surface, ensuring a close and comfortable shave. Of all the pre-shave oils I've tried, this one is by far the best. The larger bottle means I can enjoy the benefits for a longer period without worrying about running out too soon.Highly recommended for anyone looking to enhance their shaving experience with a superior pre-shave oil.

Pleasant smell when applying to face but it made no discernible improvement when shaving with my electric shaver - the whole point of using it.When it came to cleaning the razor head, the 'trimmings' had formed into multiple small oily lumps which were very difficult and tiresome to clean out from the blades. Even using water (is it really soluble oil?) and a long haired brush took me some 2 minutes, nearly as long as my shave.I would not recommend this as suitable for pre-electric shave use and won't be using it again.

Struggling to find the right way to use/balance between water and balm. Reached out to the seller. No response. Nothing at all. Disappointed. Will figure it out eventually (I suspect it's on my end given the highly-ranked feedback) but a little help from the seller would have been nice.Will finish this bottle and move to something else.

I consider Bart's Balm post-shave balms to be one of the best there is, and unbelievable value for money. I do like a pre-shave, and to be fair, there aren't a great many to choose from out there, but when someone you rate so highly gets in on the act, it's a no-brainer ordering. In the shave itself, I love the touch of freshness in the lime, and am very impressed it doesn't have any tackiness, or 'annoying' feel such that you are scrubbing your hands dry before moving on. In the set-up, the soap itself provides a lovely slickness, however, the pre-shave oil adds to that, and in doing so, the slickness is incredible right from the off! There's no noticeable effect on the lather, and there's certainly no clogging due to the consistency of the oil. Like the balms before it, and for the price, you should be all over this!
