Ice Cream And Suicide

I am huge sucker for finding new poetry books. I enjoyed reading the lovely poems in "Ice Cream and Suicide". This is definitely a book you want in your poetry collection.

This book is amazing! I absolutely loved it- had it read in 2 days. The quotes/poems in this books have so much pain yet it’s relatable. Each story touched my heart. It’s definitely a 10/10 for me. Also, I seen others comment on the pages ripping out- I had one page to do that but it went back in and never fell out after that. I say get it. The quality is good and the book is enjoyable. Once you get started, you won’t want to stop…

I believe this work conveys the essence of an experience artist and the simpleness of our generation. It just strikes hard in simple ways.

Jack Ray has this incredible ability to be super relatable to me. In almost every poem I was thinking, “ouch, I feel that.” He rarely rhymed, and mostly just spoke from the heart about pain, which was a really cool way to write the book. The poem that he put on the back of his book—the first time I read that poem, I knew I had to read this book. He’s honest and doesn’t really speak with metaphors, or in “pretty” languages, which makes him really easy to read and understand. I honestly loved the book and I read it very quickly.“One day you’re gonna see,The biggest mistake you ever madeWas thinking I was good for nothing.”His poems were mostly small and straight to the point like this one, and that played a lot to his advantage. His audience wasn’t people who love poetry, it was for people, like me, who can appreciate small things that enter our hearts but are still very poetic, just in the most informal way. He’s definitely not one of the “greats” when it comes to poetry, I feel like his poetry was actually really mediocre, but he has a way with words that pulled me in right away and, when I finished, gave me several things to think about.

I’m looking for a nice book of poetry to vibe to. Something that speaks from the heart. The title is what grabbed my attention but not what type of poetry I was looking for.

Bought for book collection because it was a really good book. I'd recommend it to others.

This collection of poetry took my breathe away in the most beautiful and heartbreaking way. Gorgeous words written so beautiful and tragic. Definitely a new favourite
