Worishofer Women's 251 Sandal

These shoes are so comfortable and very popular! Easy to slip on and easy to wear all day... I love them! You get the benifit of style, (in colors), variety, and comfort all in one shoe. Watch out for sizing, it is off.... I wear a us size 6 all day everyday forever in any open toed shoe which should convert to a euro 36 according to the ordering information. However, I had to return then for a euro 37 which fit perfectly. I don't know who's sizing is off but, the 37 is a us size 6. So, I would suggest ordering up one size. Another great feature is that the vamp buckle is adjustable. Since I have very narrow feet, this was a real plus. I was able to adjust them to fit my foot exactly. They fit like a glove with no flopping around. Great shoes just order up a size and they are perfect.

I am typically in between sizes (8.5/9) -- lengthwise I am a true 39, but if the shoe is too narrow in the toe box I usually go for a 39.5 or 40. My last pair of Worishofers I purchased a size 40 (since they don't offer half sizes) in the 711 style. After reading all the reviews I decided to go a little bit up in size. They fit fine but after living in them practically all summer they became really broken in and a lot looser. They still fit and were comfortable but I wondered if I should try a size 39. So for my next pair I purchased some 251s in size 39. Lengthwise they fit juuust right - my foot filled in the sandal toe to heel, with my heel almost exactly flush with the back of the shoe. Depending on how you like to wear your shoes you may find this to be a perfect fit or, if you prefer more room in the back, a bit too small. In the case of the latter, go a size up. I can comfortably fit into both a 39/40 but I'm also comparing two different shoe styles. For a slide style like the 251, I prefer the size 39. The toe area is rather wide already and I know after wearing them all the time (they are truly so comfortable and light) they will stretch and mold to my feet nand fit even better.

I saw this slip-in wedge sandal on the 3rd Hour Today show (news program). They said it was padded & comfy, and everyone loved them. I up sized - black 9. In person they are cheap looking, hard insole, the inside of the shoe is hard, not comfy, the faux bottom leather that the footrests on is wrinkled, faded and used looking, they are not padded, not wide, couldn't get my foot into them, and the faux leather buckle area, the leather at that point is already curling. I am sending them back for a full refund.

Based on the other reviews, I decided to order a size up. Since the shoes are slides, I figured that I could probably still wear them if they were too big. I'm a size 9. I ordered a size 40. The shoes fit me perfectly. However, be warned that they were almost too small. My toes and heal both reach the end of the footbeds, and I have no room to spare. So, if you are a size 9, please order at least a 40. The leather is good quality, it is soft and the shoes do not rub. The shoebeds are comfortable, but I would not say that they are the most comfortable shoes ever. They are what I expected - good, solid, walking sandals. Overall, I am happy with my purchase. Thanks to all the other reviewers who warned me that size might be an issue!

I love Worshofers for a comfy house sandal to change into, or for wearing out with a cute dress. They're ugly chic German hausfrau look personified. They do tend to run a bit small, so size up, especially if you're in between sizes or have a wider foot. I love how they mold to your feet after wearing. Note that they're not sturdy sandals that will last for years. I buy them once a year or two, and usually have several pairs in different colors. Note I've found the patent leather styles are not as comfy. Shout out to Tip Top shoes - I used to shop there when I lived in NYC. They're great! True to form, these shipped and arrived fast (I'm in Seattle now).

I am in love with these shoes. I have them in red and yellow. They wedges are lightweight and very flattering. They're the perfect shoe to travel with as they're easy to pack, good for walking and you can dress them up / down. You can adjust the shoes with the buckle (it isn't just decorative). The solid colors look really cute with skinny jeans and a modern print top. Only drawback? Don't get them wet. Both of my pairs of these shoes got very stretched out when I got stuck in the rain wearing them. The shape of the shoe warped, which made them tougher to fit well later. Also after wear, the cork wedge heel will crumble. Think of this shoe as a one or max two season option. However, they are VERY comfortable. Enjoy!

I picked up these here in the purple, which really is a muted, dark lilac in what appears to be nubuck. It's a lovely color and just about perfect for me. I usually wear an 8.5 in a dress shoe and an 8 in a sandal. So I tried these in 38 and 39. The 38 were too short and the 39 was just right. I'd say that the 39 is true to a size 8 US in terms of length. Someone needing the length of a 8.5 might want to size up to a 40. After wearing my first pair for about 3 hours, I knew that I'd need more and immediately purchased a second pair at a fantastic off-season price. These Worishofers aren't the 2" or 3" wedges that I'm usually drawn to. But the shoes are incredibly stable on the foot and there is no slippage at the heel or the ball. They give me amazing comfortable, sure footed-ness, and more lift than a flat. In fact, I think I prefer them to flats. Definitely pleased with these.

My wife bought this, so this is her review: (Amazon.com seems to treat us as one person, electronically.) The patent is so red and shiny it looks rather plastic. The leather is very stiff. They are very cute wedge-style sandals, though, not too high, and felt "soft" walking. I would have considered keeping them and wearing them first with thin cotton socks in the hope of making the leather soften and conform better to the top of my foot, as the lower edge of the band cut into my foot immediately. There was another problem with the foot bed, however. Maybe it's my feet, or this particular pair of shoes, but while the ergonomic foot bed fit like it was made for me on the right foot, on the left it hit the wrong spots. I didn't think it was worth the trouble to see if another pair in the same size fit both feet, since I bought on-line. I should add that I occasionally buy size 8 1/2 (mostly for toe room in closed shoes) instead of an 8, and these were size 8. Unfortunately, 8 1/2 wasn't available and the shoe is expensive. If I'd been happier with the leather, otherwise, I might have considered buying a second pair in the half size and trying to get a perfect fit for both feet. (If it hadn't worked, I would have returned both pairs, and if it had, I would have then donated the mismatched pair -- with an explanatory note -- to charity.) One more comment that might prove helpful is that I have an average heel width, but across the toes need a little more room, so often buy "C" width if the shoe has some give and that option is available, possibly "D" if there's no give at all, and buy "W" width otherwise. (That's also why I tend to buy slingbacks and open backed shoes and sandals). The buckle and strap on this shoe is adjustable, and on the last hole of the strap it fit very nicely in terms of width.

I like them very much, but the sizzing is wrong. I order size 8 like i always wear and verly fit on them. I thing I should have gone a size up. I don't now If I could exchange them????

I hope this pair, which seems to be very good, lasts a bit longer than the other one I bought. I bought a silver/gold item two months ago and had to purchase the ones we're talking about because the leather on the right foot gave way and could not be repaired.

Just make sure you double check the sizing with the seller. A women's US size 8 would normally be a EURO 39, not 38. The seller has incorrectly listed the sizes. Another reviewer has already pointed this out - which I'd paid attention!
