Very well written and interesting book about the apostles and the relationship to the growth of Christianity and the Catholic Church

For me this was an eye-opening introduction to the men who walked with Jesus and carried out his mission to build the Church after his Ascension. There was so much more to them than what we hear on Sunday and it was wonderfully told here, including the real story of Thomas, of whom much more can be said than that he doubted.

CHRISTAIN Book club selection, all 8 of us ladies enjoyed the info. Easy to understand, enhances bible reading by adding cultural nuances that enrich understanding.

His book helped me to focus on the early church with its growing pains and triumphs. Raymond Arroyo recommend this book.
