Fast Speeds with Google Wifi Pro
I recently upgraded to Google Wifi Pro โ Wi-Fi 6E, and I have to say, the speed improvements have been nothing short of amazing. With this new setup, I consistently hit speeds up to 1100 Mbps on my iPhone, which has drastically improved streaming, gaming, and overall internet usage at home. Setting up the Google Wifi Pro was incredibly straightforward. The whole system was up and running in just a few minutes with the help of the Google Home app. The design is sleek and minimalistic, meaning it doesnโt look out of place in any room. Plus, itโs compact enough that it doesnโt become the focal point of the space. One of the standout features for me is the Wi-Fi 6E technology, which really makes a difference in how devices handle bandwidth-intensive tasks. Whether I'm downloading large files, streaming 4K videos, or participating in video conferences, the connection remains stable and fast. This router handles multiple devices like a champ, ensuring that everyone in the household can enjoy the same high-speed internet without slowdowns. For anyone considering an upgrade or setting up a new home network, the Google Wifi Pro โ Wi-Fi 6E is definitely worth the investment. Itโs not just about the raw speeds, which are impressive, but also about the reliability and ease of use that Google products are known for. Highly recommended for a seamless and ultra-fast internet experience!

Don't buy this product
Reliable - wow that is one hell of a statement. Initially easy set up and worked fine for a while then the wifi units kept losing connection with the google router. Contacted Google support having already tried the internet suggested hard and soft resets. I was on the phone to American support for 1 hour 51 minutes and they finally agreed that one unit was faulty and needed to be returned (I told them this from the outset). I was sent a shipping label for a return to Poland (I live in the UK hardly eco friendly) I await the return, and since then the other wifi unit has also lost connection which I've had to solve by completely restoring all the units to factory settings and re install. It has solved the issue for now however I cannot accept that such a high end product should be so troublesome. If it fails again I will be asking Amazon for a full refund. Not happy Google! Congratulations you have succeeded in posting my first one star review.

Easy To Set Up, Strong/Consistent Signal Throughout The House
I bought this pack to replace my elderly Nest Routers, which had started to become a little unreliable after a few years. These were *so* quick to set up using Google Home, which deleted my original network and set up a new one in no time at all. We don't have a large house, but getting consistent signal, especially upstairs (where my home office is and where my son does college work) can be difficult - and that's now strong & consistent and without any difference in terms of speed. Highly recommended.

Virgin Media Hub 5/Gig1 Fibre user. Purchased two lots of x3 packs on 31st Oct 2022
This review might help out someone in a similar position. We have a 3-bed semi property across two floors. Previous mesh setup was the 'Netgear Nighthawk Mesh' (also known as MK62 or MR60 router). In total, I've been using one of their routers and three satellites. Never really happy with this setup, although it did a decent job when it worked. We're currently on the Gig1 fibre with Virgin Media, using their latest Hub 5 in 'modem mode'. I purchased the new Nest WiFi Pro on 31st Oct 2022 and bought two lots of their three packs. Setup was a breeze and the units operate as: x1 router and x5 satellites. Overall, fairly happy with how it's all working. Standing right by the router, I can easily see around 600-700mb on WiFi. Around all the other satellites, the average tends to be around 200mb download. Yes, it would be great to see higher speeds, but 200mb pretty much covers all my main use scenarios. I've also noticed my Arlo CCTV working a lot better than before, especially as we have around 6 of their WiFi cameras around the house and outside. So that's been the biggest improvement for us. Same could be said for the Ring doorbell. It's early days but I'm fairly pleased with the stability and speeds we're seeing. ยฃ760 for all this WiFi 6E tech seems to be a decent price, especially when compared to other systems on the market. Would be great to see more thoughts/reviews from other Virgin Gig1 users?

Why do these get such a bad rep? 2 week update
Reddit, youtube, the internet in general is lit with people trashing these. I wanted an upgrade from my old orbi system, I tried eero, loved the app (made me realise how bad the orbi app is), but not the subscription features, I tried tplink but i think those are on the cusp of being banned in the US due to chinese spying, so i felt i was left with these to try and wow, I am not dissappointed. I running it as a double nat, I haven't set my gateway router to bridge mode or anything, but i did turn its wifi off so this system is the only thing connected to it. The app was easy, much like setting up any nest device, turn it on, add device, phone connects to device, says its settings things up, downloads an update and voila, done. Asks if you want to add a the satelites, yes, repeat the process, and done. the main router device is in my office upstairs, one satellite is other side of the house with a 2 walls and a corridor between it, and the other is downstairs with a wall and a ceiling between them and both have 'great connection'. ping is minimal in fact non existent, i get the exact ping i'd get connected directly to gateway router, and in the app i can see what devices are connected and what bandwidth they are using. I can prioritise devices, block devices, setup family rules, i've turned on 'prefferred activites' for video calls as i work from home and i can see this is very much a turn on and forget device. my son gets full wifi 6E connection for his gaming, and most critically the wife has not complained once about anything dropping out or bogging down. for all those folks that are constantly having to reset the device because of issues i can only summise google has fixed all that or they have some strange network configurations going on or dare i say their internet providers aren't good. For my experiance all i can say is after orbi, eero, tplink, these will be the ones i stick with. Update Had to return it, I eventually started experiencing the issues I had read about. Firstly if someone was on a video call it killed the Internet for anyone else connected, so I turned that feature off and yet there was still evidence of throttling if e.g my wife was on a teams meeting. Secondly, on certain days devices just wouldn't get any Internet, after 5 mins or so it would work but the moment another device connected e.g. my son getting home from school and turning his laptop on, the whole system would get bogged down again. This started happening after the first week. Lastly I was often seeing my Internet drop, would look over at the router to see a slow yellow flashing light which indicates a network error, this also happened fairly frequently. I liked the app, I liked having everything in the nest app with all my other gear, the hardware on paper is good, my sense was that Google have messed up the software in these things, they've tried to be clever with what gets prioritised, load balancing and traffic management and I think it ties itself in nots because of it. I'm just going to stick with orbi...

Stability problems with buffering pausing video meetings and Streaming apps
Since upgrading from Wifi 2 to Wifi 6E, now experiencing buffering on streaming / internet. Never happened before. A web search revealed this being a common problem, resolved by changing product. Stability is an issue, with buffering occuring a lot over Giga fiber internet.

Far better than BT Smart Hub 2
I've been with BTBroadband since I moved to a new build with FTTP and 900mbps service. I get over 900mbps through the router to ethernet devices, but WiFi is really poor using their Smart Hub 2 router and WiFi Discs. Wifi Disc > Ethernet to my Mac = 350mbps - not tooo shabby Wifi to Mac = 220mbps - again not too shabby WiFi to iPhone = 200mbps So I purchased and set up a Google Wifi Pro โ Wi-Fi 6E whole-home coverage Mesh router with 2 satellite routers. What a difference! Wifi to Satellite >Ethernet to Mac = 700mbps Wifi to Mac =680mbps WiFi to iPhone = 800+ mbps depending where in the house as this is a Wifi 6E device. (fastest I got was 920mbps) I thought I'd share this as I know many of you also work from home and having decent WiFi is important.

Great!
I bought this to upgrade my WiFi which was the original Google WiFi. This system is incredibly fast and stable by comparison. The maximum upload and download speed of my internet connection has actually increased by a reasonable amount since switching over to this system. I have had no downtime at all in the roughly 4-5 months Iโve had this online. Aesthetics are subjective I suppose, this kind of device isnโt really something that needs to be on display though. It did concern me a little, ordering this from the UK when WiFi 6E was so scarce in Australia. However it was an excellent decision and has worked out brilliantly, I couldnโt be happier with this system.

Speedy wifi for whole house
Super simple to setup through google home app. As my whole house runs on google home automations it seamlessly integrates. 6E Wi-Fi is by far superior to my previous Wi-Fi 6 router. There is no interference on the 6ghz band in my area so great speeds if you early adapt. Does mean all devices will need upgrading to 6E to take full advantage, but this was not complicated (just a little pricey) for my setup. As Australia doesn't sell this yet, this is the best way to obtain. Needs UK power adapter though but these can be brought on Amazon for about $12 so not that big of deal.

Works well in AU
I was hesitant to purchase from UK (in AUS), however besides needing a UK to AUS power adapter, the routers work as they should! Postage was reasonably fast too.

Superior product to the old Google mesh. Clocks 950mbs on wifi double the speed of the predecessor
Super fast wifi with low latency. Bought original wifi Google mesh but output was only Max 500mbs on 1000mbs line. New google wifi pro doubled the speed and latency very low so everything works super fast now. Just buy converter for plug into socket as original unit comes with UK connection
