So delicious it tastes like fresh brewed.
A friend introduced me to this instant espresso style coffee a few years ago and I was sold. I don't brew coffee anymore because this is quicker, easier and so much more delicious. It is also totally portable allowing me to stash a bag of it in my carry-on bag for travel. I only wish it was available in larger containers.

Delicious for iced coffee
First let me clarify, I like to drink ICED COFFEE made with milk and instant espresso. I would never drink this as water+espresso hot coffee/espresso - it simply does not hold up when compared to fresh hot coffee or espresso. With that said, I've tried about 20 different brands of instant espresso (or instant coffee) - a few of the grocery store low-end standards like Nescafe, Folgers and Sanka (which are simply undrinkably horrid) to as many of the higher end coffees as I could find (e.g. Mount Hagen Organic, Cafe Bustelo, Ferrara, Juan Valdez, Starbucks Via varieties etc. which range from horrid to quite tasty) and there were probably 3, maybe 4 that tasted pretty much equally good (in the milk+sweetener iced coffee form). But what ended up making Medaglia D'oro the winner was the ease of dissolving and mixing the powder in the milk. The other best tasting brands typically all had larger grains, and even if I stirred them into the milk and let the cup sit in the fridge overnight to be at the ready for my iced morning cup of coffee, the grains would still be undisolved and stuck to the sides of the cup or bottom - I'd have to go to the extra step of heating the milk with the coffee grains to stir and dissolve, then return to the fridge. In reality that is not the hugest burden since what I actually do is make an entire pitcher for the whole week - I could take a jar of one of the other brands and stir it up in hot milk on the stove until every last grain is dissolved, then pour it into a pitcher and after washing the pot, be done with the process for the week. But why bother - with Medaglia my method is to simply dump in a jar or two into a large pitcher, fill it up with milk and my sweetener of choice, stir every so often for the first few hours (it does initially create a layer of top foam that has to be stirred back in as the bubbles break) and then I have my pitcher of iced coffee ready to drink for the week.Any visiting houseguests who've been skeptically convinced to try a cup (rather than running out to the nearest coffee shop for their customary hot cup) have become converts and asked for me to actually write down my "recipe" for creating this pitcher. As I said, there are a few others tasty instants for this iced coffee but they don't dissolve without heating, so taste being equal, this is my go to standard. I would add a caveat for those of you thinking to "save calories" or otherwise shortcut this delicious iced coffee drink - do not make it with water, or use something disgusting like Stevia to sweeten it, or even water down your iced coffee by adding ice, or use skim milk (I use whole milk) - you will NOT have the same scrumptious flavor. I also (again) do not recommend this as hot coffee, though it is passable for that purpose if you're really desperate.

A Natural form of caffeine There is no bitterness and especially no jitterness.
Why is this coffee worth having. It's by all definitions expresso, but according to their brewing instructions, it would be very weak expresso, so obviously they're trying to make it look like you're getting a lot of coffee for the money. Basically you're going to have to make it stronger if you want that expresso experience. There is a fantastic silver lining, this expresso coffee is acid neutralized. The bottle doesn't say it, but it goes down easy without any stomach upset even when you make it extra strong. It's the best natural form of caffeine that you can get on the market today. And the consistency of the Brew is very consistent. Nothing even comes close, this instant coffee even Beats roasted beans. I would far better drink this coffee then brewed coffee from coffee beans. And because of the natural form of caffeine, the Brewing methods and type of beans chosen, I can confidently tell you there is no bitterness and especially no jitterness. You feel delightfully comfortable and enchanted. Enjoy.

Best instant coffee out in the market
I've tried many many different instant coffee brands for the last 10 years. I have been gradually pick up drinking coffee as a hobby over the years. I don't rely on waking up with a cup of coffee, rather, I enjoy a cup of coffee during my break after I finish my morning gardening chores. To me, it is a treat for my hard work in the garden. All the other brands out there either have bland flavor or have a sour after taste that's unpleasant. This is the only instant coffee that taste as if you've spend a lot of time brewing a cup from beans. Other big brands are rather disappointing. At the end of the day, I want a simple cup of coffee that is rewarding to drink, and get me ready to continue the rest of my day.

Best espresso for chocolate baking, add-on for hot coco, chocolate milk, protein shakes
I bought this first to add a teaspoonful of the powder to a special fudge brownie recipe on a friend's recommendation. We found that it was much better flavored and more versatile than espresso powders that are designed just for baking. It was a revelation. We started trying it in other chocolate recipes. It takes chocolate to another level. I have been adding it to whatever chocolate recipes I make : cakes, pies, sauces (try it in your chocolate sauces for churros), in hot coco, in protein shakes (oh does it make the mocha, caramel, and chocolate peanut-butter shakes wonderful), in cappuccino, fudge and other chocolate candies, Russian black bread and other rye breads, scones, biscotti, etc. It just seems to add depth even to milk chocolate items, without any bitterness or off taste. I have been giving these jars of espresso to friends and neighbors , too, with our recipes attached. They have been as impressed with the results as we have been. This has become a staple in our pantry.
