Awesome and elegant!
This carafe may seem small but actually holds a lot more liquid than you would think. It also takes up little room in the refrigerator.Made of silicate glass, it's extremely durable, don't let the thin glass fool you. I love the fact that I can boil water in it to make ice tea with no worries about it cracking even when ice is added. The lid is made of stainless steel and has a rubber seal making it drip proof. Also the lid has a filter that keeps fruit or ice from pouring out but has an unfiltered side as well for when you do.

This is a nice looking little pitcher that I use for my homemade Almond Milk (Blend small handful of soaked almonds + 1Q water - Strain if desired or just use straight for cereal and such). The rubbery ring works well enough but I wouldn't expect it to seal perfectly. The size of the pitcher is just big enough to let me stick my hand in to wash. I would say my hand is about average for a 5'9" male. Larger hands might not make it back out.

Really great pitcher, but lid is a bit awkward.
Very chic pitcher, with a surprisingly large capacity for the sleek shape. And sturdy. One star deduct because I don't love the lid. The rubber seal/gasket is kinda big & flappy such that I find it rather awkward to insert & remove the lid. Others obviously do not have a problem with it, so this might be a minority opinion. I use it exclusively as a water pitcher so I don't need the water-tight / infuser utility, and ultimately ended up just removing the seal and simply let the lid fit loosely. Actually I moved the seal all the way up to the very underside of the lid to give it a softer landing when in place and eliminate rattling when carrying. (I should say that with the seal in the position is was designed to be in the lid fits very snugly and does not rattle.)

It is nice to look at but not very functional
It is nice to look at but not very functional. The strainer looks solid and sturdy but it’s not. The strainer also has very sharp edges. I cut myself just washing it. The inside of the lid is also very sharp. Poor craftsmanship and very thin material. Not satisfied with this. Not worth the price.

if you like lots of tea & you want to reheat it in the microwave this is for you!
(This is a review for the glass pitcher with the bamboo lid)First, it does indeed fit 7 cups easily and I would even feel confident brewing 8 cups of tea in it.Secondly, it works perfectly for reheating my tea in the microwave (without the lid & coil obviously), which is why I chose it.Thirdly, as another reviewer noted, it keeps tea nice & hot for a long time. I like my tea hot. I have just brewed a pot (nearly 8 cups) at least an hour ago and the tea is still hot enough that it will be a while yet before it is lukewarm and I will want to reheat it.Fourthly, I have used it pretty much every day and because I am gentle (when it is full I hold it with two hands, which is possible I think because I do not use it on the stove), it appears that it will last a very long time. The lid still fits snugly (which may be because I never bring water to a boil inside it with the lid on).

DOES NOT LAST!
This kettle is super cute, BUT didn’t last! I’ve used this kettle consistently for the past six months and sadly I can no longer use it. The lid literally melted off. Again, cute, but NOT functional.

Works for what I need
I needed a pitcher for tea with a lid. That is exactly what I got. One thing that I had looked for was a pitcher that had a metal handle. What I got was a pitcher with a glass handle. It works great but I wanted something just a little more durable. The glass handle seems delicate but everything works just fine. Time will tell about the handle but for now, I'm pretty satisfied.UPDATEHa, ha, ha, 4 years later and the glass handle is still just fine. I love this little teapot and use it every day!

Works perfectly
The glass is a bit lighter than I would like but honestly for the price it's kind of to be expected. But it does hold a great amount of water which is hard to find and is surprisingly compact. And it works perfectly with my bigger and smaller loose tea.
