They do not float, so good luck stirring your drink.
There is an obvious thermal barrier, probably because there is plastic inside; when you touch the cube it takes 5-6 seconds before it feels cold. Very different from ice. They sink straight to the bottom and stack solid, so you can't stir if used for a mixed drink. But I will say, they look really cool in a glass of whiskey, and will cool it eventually. Great gift idea for those who drink straight-up.

Didn't work.. returning.
I dropped 3 of these in a glass of wine and didnt cool it.Set timer for 5 minutes recheck, nada..Instead I'll buy some large ball hearings and chill those or larger kid's marbles that are big so you don't swallow them.

Really like them and they don't water down your drinks. If you use a metal straw with them they stay colder longer.

It takes at least 6 cubes to even begin to chill a drink, and it doesn'tlast very long. Definitely not a good replacement to ice cubes
