A Warrior's Fate (Wolves of Morai)

This book was good I liked the concept but the pacing could have been better and the mates stuff is definitely slightly inspired by SJM.

From the first paragraph to the last, I was heavily invested in the characters and their relationship with each other. The banter, the joy, and fear among other emotions were all described so well that you really felt like you were on this journey with them. Everyone wants a best friend like Adrien, a brother like Sebastien and a lover like Kai :-)I can't wait to read the rest of the books. Melissa is truly a wordsmith. Thank you for such a flirty book with solid and developed personalities for all the characters.

I devoured new adult fantasy A Warrior's Fate over a weekend and the pages flew by; I was absolutely hooked. This is definitely one for fans of Sara J Maas, and A Court of Mist and Fury and House of Earth and Blood in particular.Werewolves. Fated mates. Royalty. Pack rivalry and politics. Enemies to lovers? Isla and Kai are adamant it won't be. But they have bigger problems on their hands. There's a killer on the loose, and the cryptic messages left behind are bringing dangerous ancient history to light.I was a little unsure during the first few chapters as I didn't understand the motivations of characters' actions and choices. Several chapters later, a little more exposition and world building and I was gripped by the protagonists and their interactions and the mystery and unknown of burgeoning storylines. Then I completely fell for it.A Warrior's Fate has a brilliant found family that put me in mind of my all-time favourite found family; that of the ACOTAR series. I liked the strong, ambitious female characters with a thirst to prove themselves and drive to protect others. I enjoyed the deep culture and history of the world Melissa Kieran has created and the important message she conveyed that relationships should be about choice and freedom.I liked that A Warrior's Fate is a complete story in itself, but would have so much to explore in a wider series. Wow!To say I'm in love with this book and Kaisla isn't even close to cutting it. Kai has a lot to answer for in my life since he's ruined all men for me now but it was so worth it.I love a slow burn with intense chemistry and A Warrior's Fate delivered. You'll feel all the emotions and dive into a well-written, descriptive world with a strong FMC and hot-as-hell MC! And how pretty is that cover?!Enjoy everyone!!
