This grow light gives you many options. You can put the stake directly into a pot, or you can attach the stake to the stand and have it outside of your pots. The height of the light stake can be extended. There are a variety of lighting options, both in color choice and choice of dim or bright. There is a timer switch, so you can set it for varying lengths of time, rather that having to turn the lights on and off each day.The lighting options work great, and I love the choices.The option for 9 hours on the timer setting did not work, and the stand was missing, so I ordered a replacement. There were also issues with the replacement, so I reached out to the seller, who was quick to respond. I was pleased with the response and resolution.My initial order did not include the stand, so my only option was to place the light stake in the plant pot. Since my plant sits on a pedestal of sorts, the stand will only work by taking the plant down to counter top level. The light stake is at its maximum height.NOTE: The base of the stand is a clear acrylic. It is shipped with a thin protective film on both sides. Once you remove the film, you will have a shiny, clear acrylic base.Overall, I am pleased with the lights. Time will tell as to whether or not they will help with my plant. I have a single houseplant, and it is an area of the house where it does not get much sunlight, especially in our dark winters. I sometimes place it in the kitchen sink for several hours in order to give it some light. I am hoping these lights will replace my necessity to relocate the plant.I recommend this grow lights. They are a good value, and the lighting is very nice.

I have a Christmas cactus that is in a spot that does not get a lot of light. Thus, this new plant light is now positioned so the plant gets its light.What I Do like are the various levels of brightness.What I Don't like is1) the cord is too short to reach a wall plug without using an extension cord, and2) the screw at the top is too flimsy to keep the circle in position.I have not used the timer and won't, so can't really rate that. I just turn the light off and on when I want to. I'm glad I bought it, though.

I have 2 west facing windows in my apartment and one of those is shaded so my babies weren’t getting nearly enough light and they were directly in front of the windows with a sheer curtain. Im not a fan with the ones that have multiple light bars. They’re hideous and takes the attention away from the plants. These are so cute. Now I can spread my plants throughout my apartment and all of them are getting the right light requirements. The timer feature works well, too. I ordered 3 initially and 2 more are on the way. Very satisfied with this product.

Don't plan on using this with the very tiny base to stand on its own. The base is not flush on the bottom so it tips over, even when the light pole is it's shortest. Extend the pole and it won't stand up at all. Very disappointed as I wanted a light that stand independently.

I bought this to provide light for a few lettuce plants I wanted to start indoors for my fall garden. I didn't need anything major, just enough light to start 3-6 plants at a time and this light is perfect. The timer is easy to figure out. It does seem a bit fragile but will hopefully hold up over time.
