I can light up a carton of cigarettes before recharging the battery if I'm out of the wind. (In windy conditions maybe 7-8 packs at the smoking section of a cruise ship outside and at sea!) I usually charge for not more than 2 hours. I use a small brass bristle brush to clean the carbon off the burner tips before charging. I have this for several months and the case still looks brand new. I have dropped it several times on hardwood floors (accidentally) with no visible damage to the outside or impairing of functionality, just put the battery back in and slip the battery cover back on and your in business again.

It is a little larger than I expected, but built very well and works fine. But I see no reason for the light to come on every time you open the top.I can see it coming on when it is charging, and it does, and then goes off when charged.The back of the lighter comes off and is held in place by two magnets, one at the top and one at the bottom. Under the cover is a 14500 Li ion battery, which can be purchased here on Amazon or elsewhere. Since I have only had it one day, I can't tell how it will last, but it is very heavy and built well.

First product I write a review on pretty cool even has a removable battery unlike the other arc lighters it's a 14500 you can probably buy better ones online. Only downside is that it's a chunky lighter and hefty good chunk of metal but well worth the money

A gift for my husband. Very cool, comes in a nice box. He doesn't usually carry it on him, though, because it's really heavy.

I would give 0 stars if I could. We bought 3 of these in January and its now May and none of them work.

Very cool way to set things on fire. You do have to touch the cigar, cigarette etc.. to the coils to light it. The way the picture shows it you do not have to do this however, it is necessary and I could see this being potentially damaging for the product in the near future rendering it worthless. Until then I will continue to set things on fire. Lol
