Very Clear
I bought this for my grandson who is just starting to learn trumpet. The chart is very clear and easy to understand. The only problem is that the laminated chart was apparently stored in a cardboard tube while it was waiting to be purchased. It has been a struggle to get it to lay flat. It is improving. But I didn't expect this.Otherwise, it's great!

Just a cheap laminate
If you don't have a laminator, then this chart might be worthwhile. There are some annoyances with this chart.-The thickness is not good. Feels like a flimsy 3 micrometer laminate instead of the thicker 5 micrometer.-Comes rolled up which makes it hard to mount because it wants to pull off the wall.-Very expensive for something you can easily do at home.

Great tool for my visual learner
Son #2 wanted to learn to play the trumpet. Son #1 learned saxophone in band class from 6th grade on to graduation. That wasn't an option for my younger boy. He's autistic, and the schools here in my little town just aren't equipped to handle special needs. Anyway, he's homeschooled, and I do not play the trumpet, nor does anyone else in my family. So, he needed more help than I could provide. He's a visual learner, so we found a couple of videos that are helpful, then I saw this fingering chart. It's been more helpful than anything else we've tried. It's easy to follow and he loves that he can do it on his own, which helps with his independence. So, for us, this little chart is worth its weight in gold, and I'd highly recommend it. I feel like this would benefit even those in band class as they're learning. Son #1 wants to know why he didn't have something similar, so there you have it.

remembering back in the day
I played trumpet back in the day when I was in school. It has been so long since I picked up my trumpet that I forgot some of the fingering so this is incentive to pull my trumpet case out from under the bed and play again. Will be great to have on the music stand to remember the fingering for notes. Also useful for new band students to have while they practice what they are learning to play. Might just help them become first chair in their trumpet section. It comes rolled in a tight tube. You will have to roll it backwards to get it to stand up flat on the music stand.

A Good Tool For Everyone
I have a degree in music. The fact is that I got that degree 52 yearws ago and I can assure you that there is a LOT of stuff that I have forgotten. Included in that population of knowledge is things like the fingering of instruments. This is truly a complex matter, as there are so many different instruments with so many fingerings. The trumpet is interesting in that it has only three valves. That is a possible combination of (if I count correctly!) 7 possible cominations of valvest for 12 different notes in several octaves. That's a lot of combinations. This chart solves the problem. It provides the basis for practicing and, with practice, the need for "memorizing" disapears. So, be you aspiring or accomplished musician, a chart like this can be of great value to you.
