This little vax is powerful stuff, it really works on small or larger areas. It takes a bit of elbow grease but it's a good little cleaner, and I decided to spread the payments on Amazon which I didn't know was possible. Once the option came up I had to go for it to see how it works, and I've got a couple of months payment left. No extra interest charged. I know it works on some stains such as tea, battery, etc but so far no success in removing dried in hair dye stains. I bought it when I saw my son measuring up a section of carpet to cut ✂️ out on the floor. He said it was too stained and he wanted to replace it and I thought 😱😱 so I suggested a carpet cleaner. Before using it for the first time, I also bought a Rug Doctor Heavy Stain Pre Treatment, squirt that on the stains for 10 mins then fill the Vax spotwash cleaner with the required amount of water and solution and even myself was surprised at how clean it got those stains out, including black ink stains - pen and marker, food and drinks stains and all sorts of gunge he had in his room. I was so happy when I saw the result, it was easy to use and I knew I got my money's worth. It's a handy little cleaner to have, especially if you only want to clean small areas only. For a whole room I'd just hire a carpet cleaner for a few hours, but this is handy to have around the house, especially if one of your kids threaten to cut out a piece of your carpet and underlay. Don't let them do it, buy this instead. It wasn't very heavy to move around the house, and I used it upstairs and down. I bought the large tank product without the pet tools for £149. Key points of note:- : easy to use, not too heavy and portable with carry handle : remove tough stains such as tea, ink etc : the hose has powerful suction for getting into those stains : it's good value for money : spread the payments with no interest charge : larger tank cuts time spend filling at the tap : for heavy stains, first treat with a heavy stain pre treatment first, squirt directly on the stain, leave on for 10-15 mins : can be used on sofas to remove grease It comes with a handy little storage base for the hose and storage grips at the back for the cable. I'm still exploring what this handy little cleaner can do, but so far I'm not disappointed. I cannot fault it, it packs a punch!

Vax SpotWash Home spot, splash, pets, wet vacuum unit. This unit is ideal for those oops wet or dry spills that a larger wet vacuum cleaner would be inconvenient. This vax unit is very good quality, small, portable, fits in closet, cupboard, under stairs and can be easily reached for to do the tidy up... washed, dried returned. The tank has 1100ml (1.1 litre) capacity with suction to vacuum any household spills. I find this most useful in cleaning areas (specific locations) where my dogs each have to chew, knaw, or eat treats. As they take time to chew the treats from the rubber-esque toys... there are crumbs. Crumbs are easily removed with daily vacuum cleaning but not thewet onrs. Also the ones with dye in chew items, to dry dog food with sloppy tongues. Mine do occasionally have an oui oui accident. Paper trained, but if one is on the pads, well they do not like to go at the same time. So I get an urgent had to go spot on the carpet. The whirling brush with vax carpet shampoo has it removed very quickly due to great suction and it is properly clean with no smell lingering. It is then a simple empty, flush, rinse out of holding tank, and a quick wash of whirling scrubby brush. I also rinse out the hose. When dry, I reassemble and tuck away until the next usage. I have also used this unit in my cars. Scrubbing muddy carpet spots through to a motion upchuck by one of my dogs or a wee small person - toddler. Pomeranian size dogs, so not much upper chucky but again this vax was/is the perfect size to clean spot and surrounding area. I like this size vax so much and find it so extremely convenient, I purchased a second unit just to keep in our summer house. I highly recommend this unit for it's excellent quality, value for money, and power suction in a very compact model.

This is a brilliant machine, it cleans and sucks the water back out of the fabric well. Sofa looks totally refreshed, however, the lack of a 5th star on the review is due to the frustration of the machine toppling over if even slightly pulled the wrong way. It is lightweight, ideal for portability, but could do to have a slightly heavier base to prevent it tipping and spilling.

Got this on offer for something small, portable that could clean up after myself, kids and the dog. Was put straight to the test cleaning dog vomit (sorry!) of a rug and it did a great job and did the rest of the rug not just the impacted area. The suction is good so you’re left with something that relatively damp rather than wet. Has a good choice of cleaning brushes that are easy to swap. The rotating opening particularly is good as loosing up the dirt. Tried it on my car foot mats after giving them a good hoover. They looked clean but using this on them showed from the dirt in the water being collected. Really pleased with how the turned out. Set up is really easy. Cleaning the attachment's is really straightforward. It has good suction power and is quite discrete when storing away. It’s subtle colours so doesn’t stand out. For something that was relatively cheap I found it it really useful. It’s a spot cleaner so doing a larger carpet for example isn’t what it’s designed for but for little accidents it’s perfect and used it on a king size mattress and was absolutely fine. Really pleased with it and would definitely recommend it.

This does what it says on the tin. Maybe not as perfectly as its big brother, but well enough to deal with the task I had for it. Had a blocked dishwasher drain, which has been troubling us occasionally for years and had always previously been dealt with by a poke around in the bottom of the draining unit. However, this time nothing shifted it and we were without a dishwasher for a couple of days. Good memories of how sociable washing up at the sink used to be, but equally quite a waste of scarce leisure time. So I ordered this model and the Bissell spot clean pro heat. Dry tested the latter first and it was clearly not powerful enough for the job (I think it has a 330 W motor). This one is obviously more powerful when you put your hand over the suction hose, so I started the job with the Vax. I had already tried blowing air through the dishwasher, but that did not work. So I took the dishwasher drain hose off and stuck the Vax hose onto the end, poking the dishwasher hose into the Vax hose. Switched on and loads of off-white to yellow and stinking liquid poured out into the reservoir of the machine, with lots of congealed fat lumps. It fills up pretty rapidly guess only about half litre capacity, but it's very easy to empty, which I then did about four times. Ended up pouring almost boiling water into the dishwasher, with the Vax switched on already so that the suction would immediately remove it. Turned out to be very effective and lots more fat came out into the reservoir. Certainly, one of the more disgusting jobs I've done in the recent past and, for a barrister, that's something. Also bought it for cleaning up puppy accidents, and I'm sure it's going to come in handy for that. Will leave the carpets and floors a lot cleaner than they currently are after the puppy has finished forgetting to go outside. The translucent hose is really good because you can see the colour of the liquid that's coming back into the machine and you'll know when it runs clear. Both the hose and the power cord seem tough enough to last the course, and the cord is long. I guess the hose could've been a bit longer but I'll see what that's like on the stairs because the whole thing only weighs about 3.5 kg so you can probably hold it with one hand and use it with the other. It's a little on the large side if you have limited storage space, but I'm sure I'll find somewhere to leave it that's convenient. Also The waste tank is quite complex design, so when dirty and wet takes a bit of cleaning. But these are small issues.

I had a previous bad experience with VAX when I purchased their then top-of-the-range carpet cleaner. The machine itself was disappointing, and the customer service was equally poor. It was one of my worst purchases ever. Long story short was the new improved design with scrubbers did not work with wool carpets, simply ripped them to shreds, post-purchase, and too late, I noted that others had experienced the exact same problem. I would assume that VAX test their products on various carpets so would have know that it was unsuitable for such carpets, but they did not state that, and worse, they denied there was even a problem. It was such a negative experience from start to finish that I vowed never to buy a VAX product again However, I recently had a lapse in judgement and decided to do some painting without protecting the carpet. Predictably, this didn’t end well. To make matters worse, my attempt to clean up the paint spills with soap and water only made the situation more disastrous. In the past, I’ve had good results hiring a Rug Doctor, but the hassle of renting one didn’t feel worth it this time for just a specific area. Instead, I decided to research carpet spot cleaners and was surprised to find VAX consistently ranked as the best option. While I initially considered the cordless model, I ultimately opted for the plug-in version, reasoning that it would likely have more power. For me, effective results matter more than convenience when it comes to carpet cleaning. Even though I generally prefer Kärcher products, I decided to give VAX another chance based on the strong reviews. My SpotWash Home Duo arrived three days after the paint spill, and I put it to work the following morning. Despite its simple design, the results were impressive—the paint stains vanished completely, earning it full marks from me. The SpotWash Home Duo has a compact design, which makes it easier to store. While it’s a bit annoying that only two of the accessories can be attached to the machine for storage, this is a minor issue. I found that the left over accessories can be stored in the waste water container. The machine is not quiet, the hose is sufficiently long enough for easy use, and the power cable is a decent length, so will need an extension cord less often. Releasing the clean and dirty fluid containers very easy. The attachments provided are versatile and should prove useful for various tasks, although I expect it will be less frequently used on hard floors, as spills on these surfaces are generally easier to clean. Compared to larger carpet cleaners I’ve borrowed, hired, or owned in the past which, and when owned, often spend most of the time taking up cupboard space - this spot cleaner is a much more practical choice. It is going to be particularly handy for tackling spills on carpets and cleaning the car. One thing to note is that the cleaned area remains damp when finished—more so than when using a full-sized carpet cleaner, this is confirmed when comparing the amount of cleaning fluid used and the amount of dirty fluid collected. Note that this machine is specifically designed for spot cleaning, not large areas, this needs to be appreciated to avoid disappointment. I did try cleaning a flight of carpeted stairs and although it cleaned, it took four refills and I had only managed six steps. There are different models with smaller capacity, I personally wouldn't want any with less fluid, it is just about right. The crevice tool is very useful, especially good for the stair carpets that have accumulated dirt along the edges. Overall, my first impressions are very positive. The SpotWash Home Duo is compact, effective, and value for money. It’s surprisingly good at removing dirt, even though the process is simple: it sprays detergent, agitates the fabric, and then sucks it up. For now, I’m pleased to say this purchase feels like a winner.

Purchased this to clean a relatives carpet. It was on sale at the time and seemed to be a no brainer. It does a great job of cleaning with the included solutions. Admittedly they don’t have much of a scent despite supposedly being fragranced, so I wouldn’t hope for a lovely smelling room after using it, but it did clean up a lot of dark patches on a grey carpet very well. It’s good quality and a good size, very portable, but slightly on the heavier side. My relative is elderly and I wouldn’t let her use this herself as it required quite a bit of elbow grease. One disadvantage is that the vacuum part of it is pretty poor, so don’t expect your carpet to be anywhere near dry after using this. It took about 24 hours for the carpet to dry out, probably didn’t help that the underlay got wet too and kept it moist. Because it stays wet for a while, it darkens the carpet while it’s wet and it might still look dirty, but after it dries, it does appear to have done a great job. It’s not the sort of thing that we’ll be using too often, but it’s handy to have in the house and it works well.

This is a substantial well made machine. Straightforward to use, empty, clean etc. High noise level when in use, carpet was still a bit damp after use, this was expected but it dried fairly quickly and made a good job of cleaning the mess without excess effort. Meagre amount of cleaning solution provided. After using twice the machine leaks, difficult to identify where from but now I have to sit it in a basin to stop it soaking the floor.

Attention c'est un appareil qui vient d'Angleterre donc la prise est anglaise ! Il suffit d'acheter un adaptateur mais il faut le savoir. Une fois bien branchée cette shampouineuse fait des merveilles. De nombreuses marques devraient s'en inspirer car tout a été pensé pour être pratique et efficace. Il y a plusieurs brosses de différentes tailles, 2 petits produits de lavage (pas obligé de racheter ceux-là ensuite), 2 bacs séparés pour l'eau propre et l'eau sale, un long fil de branchement. On mélange eau et produit, on allume (c'est bruyant), on vaporise le tissu, on frotte avec la brosse (merci la brosse rotative qui aide bien) et on aspire. Les bacs d'eau sont très faciles à enlever, remplir/vider et à remettre. La machine n'aspire plus si le bac d'eau sale est au max, c'est bon à savoir. Le rangement a été très bien pensé, avec un système tout simple pour enrouler le fil et le faire tenir, et un creux prévu pour enrouler le tuyau et le clipser, ainsi qu'une brosse. D'autres marques très connues d'aspirateur ou autre n'en font pas autant ! Le tout est compact et facile à ranger et à manipuler. C'est un petit investissement mais toujours moins cher que de racheter des tapis (ça a sauvé le mien des bêtises des animaux et des enfants), j'en suis très contente.

I have a new puppy and cleaning up muddy paw prints, bone drool, accidents and other things has been a breeze. I should have bought one of these YEARS ago! Its hard on your wrists after a while so its really just for spots and not large areas. This has a UK plug end, so you will need an adapter. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

This machine is amazing. It arrived on sat and I've just done my stair carpet. As an owner of dogs my stair carpet was looking dirty, washing by hand wasn't getting it clean properly. I decided to get a spot cleaner pet max by vax It's amazing. I've three German shepherd's and they are up and down all the time my carpet looks great when finished. I would recommend this to everyone the extra suction is fantastic. It cost's a bit more but it's worth it .
