This is really a very beautiful ashtray, I really loved displaying it in my living room but I soon found out a couple of things that I don’t like about it. If you don’t put your cigarette out completely the smoke oozes out of it and stinks just like an open ashtray, and also if you don’t empty it fast enough it catches the others on fire and that doubles the smoke coming out of it. The other thing I dislike about it is it is constantly getting knocked over like a rolling ball which easily opens it up and out comes both the butts and ashes making the most awful mess! The only good thing about this is how beautiful it is. I’m going to have to find a different more enclosed one.

This is stunning! I couldn't believe how lovely this was. My large front porch is where my family goes to smoke their choice of pleasure, and it is decorated with mermaid, seascapes, dragons, and fairies... and surrounded by plants. I didn't want to put a regular ashtray out because of aesthetics and likely stand out like a sore thumb. This piece looks amazing and no one (those who don't smoke) was the wiser to it's actual purpose. The fact that the ashes don't blow all over in the wind and end up all over the furniture or the floor is an added plus. It was delivered in a beautiful box and well secured. I highly recommend it.

I'm giving a 5 star review even though I received one with multiple flaws , red enamel paint smudged , not meant to have paint , the top will not stay in place , and then to top that the top piece is not flush to the rest of it ~ Added Comment : 9/25/2017 ~ I received an email offering a solution to the ashtray ~ I'm more than happy to send back to Amazon , which I will give them a call after posting this ~ Sometimes an item can get sent out that is not meant to be sold , maybe my ashtray just did not go through quality control ~ I called and Amazon is sending out a label for me to return item ~ I don't feel comfortable keeping , and receive a refund too ~ so for that reason, because it was exactly what I had wanted I'm leaving 5 stars ~ They sent a total of 5 emails following up on the issue and stated , they'll do a better job with the QC ~ That is a plus ~ It truly is a very pretty ashtray ~ /=^}

These ashtrays are beautiful and very well made. Bought two in different colors and love them both. Added bonus, with the little door closed you get less of that typical ashtray smell.

This is my second ashtray from this seller. I first ordered the white/pearl one and then a friend was marveling over how great it was, so I purchased the bronze with red roses for her as a gift. The ashtray is so sturdy, I've used mine over a year now with no problems at all. The fact that it has a sliding cover that you can bring down to automatically snuff out the cigarette so you don't have to touch or handle it when finished is probably the best feature of the ashtray. You just pop it in and close the cover and because of the lack of oxygen, within a couple minutes it goes out on its own. I like this feature a lot because I really don't like handling used up cigarettes and I don't like looking at them in the open in a regular ashtray. The sliding cover solves both of these issues.The ashtray is made with an enamel coating so it always looks pretty just as a decoration sitting on a shelf. I like that I don't have to worry that visitors will see snuffed out cigarettes in an open ashtray. The ashtray has three notches so more than one person can use it at a time. I really don't feel the need to "clean" the inside of my ashtray. I just empty the contents into a plastic bag and discard them in the trash that way. Once in a while, I take a cloth with warm water or some Windex and clean the outside of it, but it rarely even needs that.It's also windproof as the description states. You can bring this outdoors to a BBQ or picnic and not have to worry about the ashes blowing around everywhere. Once your cigarette is in one of the notches, it's out of and away from the wind, so you can have a much more comfortable experience. I'd definitely recommend this ashtray to anyone who smokes anything that is rolled in paper.This makes a great gift too. It comes in a very sturdy, re-useable, beautiful box with a bright golden yellow satin cloth lining the inside of the box and enveloping the ashtray. How great is that? All you'd need to do is wrap it or put it in a gift bag and you're good to go for a gift. This is a 5-STAR experience all around, from the moment you order it, to the moment you receive it, to the moment you gift it! I just love mine!

In the picture, this looks a little cheap...It is not. It's a classy useable object for a filthy habit. I can say that because I have the filthy habit. If you don't like looking at overflowing ashtrays, this is the way to go. I have tried many types and this is by far the most attractive. I just got it, so I don't know about its durability, but it's solid and well put together. Doesn't look like an ashtray. Also, the packaging is beautiful, I couldn't imagine what I had bought to come in such fancy packaging (it's packed in gold satin).

Beautiful! A little larger than I thought it would be. One of the problems is that a standard cigarette doesn't fully rest in the cigarette indent, so they fall out unless you push/twist it in, and that doesn't always work either, so it burned the bath mat of the person I gifted it to. The other problem is that it doesn't unscrew from the middle, so it's difficult to get all of the ash out and clean. Otherwise it is a beautiful ashtray that doesn't necessarily look like an ashtray at first glance. It doesn't get hot, and it opens and closes easily but doesn't open very wide, making it pretty safe if you need to rush out of the house or something.

Not pleased that what was delivered was nothing like the photo of what arrived.
