The Capacitor looked nice and the 5uf fan connection tested 5uf and the 45uf Hermatic part tested 43uf. This is close enough on the 45uf part of the capacitor. Tested with my Fluke 179 Would be nice if it was a little closer.The only gripe I have is the capacitor was shipped in an envelope and received some dents in the trip here! A box should be used to ship capacitors! I think it will be ok but it would be better if it had not been dented capacitors can blow up if a dent dammages the internal film. Air conditioning units are very costly to repair. The shipping was quick and it is a nice looking part.

They explained it may have been jostled too much during shipment, but their product usually had no issues. I was offered a full refund or replacement. I chose a replacement. I already ordered another capacitor from a different seller and it is still working well, so I've not had the need to try out the replacement, but I'm glad to have a back up on hand. I hope once I am able to use the replacement capacitor it is much longer lasting and the one I received initially was just an unlucky case.Original review: We have two air conditioners and it's pretty typical for one of the capacitors to blow over our extremely hot Florida summers. That's what happened in September when I ordered this replacement. Here we're are in early January and it's blown already and in winter, which I have never had happen. This was the first capacitor I've ordered from this seller, so perhaps a fluke, but disappointing nonetheless.

Suspected that my pool cleaner (Polaris 280) might not be making her regularly scheduled rounds. First thought was that timer might not be working right. While checking the timer, which seemed to be set right and in the "on" position, I heard the motor clicking but not starting. Turns out the motor's thermal protection was opening and resetting but not from an overload. Worst case scenarios danced in my head. Bad motor ($$), bad pump ($$). After rotating the shaft to confirm nothing was froze up I crossed my fingers and went to the start/run capacitor. If this guy fails the motor can't start and will sit there and hum until it overheats. Bingo! $10.00 and 20 minutes later (plus delivery time) I was back in business. Always start with the easiest and least expensive solutions first whenever possible! FYI this was a 3/4 HP, 230/115 Volt, 3450 RPM Motor. Just make sure you've got the right voltage, capacitor type/size and microfarad (MFD) values. Good Luck!

Capacitor arrived dented which is not a good sign, however it works fine. Installed on my pool pump. I will probably buy another one just to have a backup.

I used this to repair my heat pump. Code 82 some techs want to replace control board when all it needed is a $12.00 part. Love you tube and forums saved a ton of money.

Buyer beware, this unit is extremely small compared to other 70/5mfd capacitors. If you are using a bracket or some sort of mechanism to secure the capacitor, know this one is very small. The sticker does not call out the acceptable amount of variance, but out of the box it is +6% on both fan and herm. I would not trust or recommend anyone use this in their HVAC systems.
