If you need to crimp your stranded wires with wire ferrules, this is the one. It is very easy to use. Just slide in the ferrule into this crimping tool, then slide the stripped stranded wires, give it a hard squeeze. That's it, you have a nice crimped ferrule for connecting the circuit breaker terminals or any screwed in terminals. It will make your life a lot easier when compared to soldering the wire. Definitely recommended if you want to some times.

This crimper works well, as far as I tested it, as I did not test the full advertised gamut of wire thickness. AT 16 AWG it ensures a solid, reliable bond of the ferule to the wire. 22 AWG is a breeze, and perfect crimped area of bonding. The six jaws make for less stress in the ferule material, it is hard to mess up with this crimper. Comes without instructions, all info on using it is on the amazon product page. The build quality is good, this tool feels sturdy. The handles are made of some rigid plastic, I would have really liked a material with better grip, and also more width to these handles for easier use.

I have several projects where I had to use parts with screw terminals, and historically I've just put stripped wire ends into the terminals and tightened them. It is maddening how poor of a connection that makes in most cases, just moving the component around a little bit is often enough to cause the wire to pop out. Crimping a ferrule onto the wire makes them function so much better, and this crimping tool has done the job well, I can see nothing to complain about. Crimping is easy and it feels like it will last quite a while, despite the budget price. Great tool

It works beautifully and is easy to grip, to squeeze, and to use overall. If you have it adjusted right, it makes really solid contacts. It's an excellent value. The one minor detail? You need a #2 phillips screwdriver, and you need to completely remove the screw to adjust it. And you need to take care not to cross thread it each time you replace the screw. Other than that little detail, this would be a 5 star review.

The steel construction is actually pretty nice for a hand tool in this value category. The two main rotating pins are held in with circlips so can be removed for lubrication - the other assembly pins are permanent compression fit but those don't need to be lubricated so that is OK. The springs have an oxide anti-rust coating which should help longevity. The grips seem to be injection-molded ABS rather than a more comfortable rubberized material. For a value tool I guess this is OK, but I wouldn't expect these to last if thrown around the workshop. The grip contour itself is pretty comfortable for average-sized hands. Would I recommend? If you anticipate only occasional use, then it is a decent tool to add to your collection, so for me it's a keeper. For more frequent usage, one of the premium brands would probably be a better choice.
