After looking at many and reading reviews, this unit seemed like a contender.I find that the light is nicely balance and provides even, soft light all around. The only way to turn some panels off is to unplug them from the control. The backgrounds are easy to change and allow for some coloring contrasts for what is being photographed. I set my camera on auto and let it do the work, and have used a 40mm macro lens to date.It assembles easily but Velcro is all that holds all of the sides together. While it all works well attention needs to be paid when moving about inside the unit.Overall I am pleased with the unit and it works effectively for my purposes. It’s pretty good quality for the price.
