Nothing is perfect but this is pretty good
Works pretty good as a poncho I did about 13 miles in 38 F rain with this and a 3 other light layers I didn't get soaked through but had water on my shoulders under this layer I don't know how it got there maybe around the hood or arm holes? All in all it helped keep my pack and myself pretty dry probably better than my raincoat and pack cover does. When it raining you are getting wet one way or another this breaths a lot better than a raincoat after switching from gore tex to breathable windbreaker fabrics I dry faster and am generally more comfortable.it packs pretty small and weighs a oz less than advertised don't understand that marketing but it's a bonus replacing a raincoat , pack cover and quick shelter. I use this with another ultrsil tarp as a better shelter.

Best poncho out there and has multiple uses.
As a poncho, this one is perfect. Compact, lightweight, great fit and is completely waterproof. The fact that it could be used as a shelter makes it even that much more useful. But the important thing is that they didn't mess up the poncho in order to make it useable as a shelter.

Great poncho
I don't always like wearing a waterproof jacket - depends on the weather. Sometimes I like having the air flow that comes with a poncho. This is a nice, lightweight poncho that seems very durable. It has plenty of size to cover a pack, and the drawstring to take up the back when not carrying a pack works well. It's not a fashion piece, but it will keep you nice and dry.

Great for Ultralighters but $$$$$
Gonna make this review short & to the point: PROS: -Comes in ultra light at 7.27 ounces, with the pouch. -Sil Nylon is very durable, can be folded and creased every which way. -Multi use item. If you're doing ultralight, multi-use items are your best friends. -The rear is longer than the front. Great if you have a large pack. Poncho goes over the bag, keeping it dry. CONS: -$$$$$. It's sea to summit, what'd you expect. There are less expensive Sil-Nylon tarp ponchos on the market, but if you're buy from Amazon, this is the only brand I trust. -Ultra small pouch. This is both a Pro & Con. I put this in the Con's just because you'll need to fold & roll the poncho just right for it to fit in the pouch. & if you're out on a trip, trying to get this to fit after a rain storm is going to be tough. -The area you put your head through is small. I got a large size head, and it's a tight squeeze. Overall: Great for the ultralight hikers/backpackers. But very expensive for what it is. I have a sil-nylon 12'x10' hex tarp for my hammock & that was only $90. For myself, I don't really like it, due the the cons I have, therefore I'm going to return mine.

Side snaps are a bust.
Used this poncho on last year’s 11-day Wonderland Trail circumnavigation as a poncho only (not a footprint). Can’t recommend this product due to the weak side snaps that kept coming unsnapped every few steps which was annoying having it flap all around. Thank god I only had 2 days of rain to deal with. I recommend Sea-to-Summit just make this poncho fully side sealed. I understand that would take away the footprint multipurpose feature of this specific poncho but the side snaps are a failure. ALSO I desperately wish it had full length sleeves. Would NOT recommend.

Great option for ultralight hammock shelter.
A great tarp poncho, super light and packs down to the size of a coffee mug. This is exactly big enough to cover my Grand Trunk Ultralight hammock and underquilt as an asymmetric diamond without an inch to spare. It would not be sufficient in a storm with strong winds, but for an occasional shower it's great. I actually haven't used in for rain gear yet, but it's a poncho. I know what to expect.

Great lightweight poncho
Used extensively during recent 150 mi. hike on Florida Trail. Multi use as raingear, ground cloth, nighttime gear cover. Poncho kept everything dry during rain, and great ventilation so you don't sweat to death. Light, and packs very small. Great buy!

Great Lightweight Poncho
Kept me and my pack dry. It weighs a little over 7 ounces and that is with its stuff sack. Overall very nice alternative compared to rain gear. It is expensive for a poncho but compared to some of the rain gear that there is out there it's a steal!
