Perfect for my application.
Works/fits well on my EXO 4800 backpack shoulder strap. Secures the Browning Speed Canyon 270 rifle strap solidly to my shoulder so I can use both of my trekking poles at the same time. Definetly a game changer after using this product for the last several months. 👏👏👏

Must have!
I purchased this slinghook right before hunting season this year and put it to work for about 20 days in the elk woods. The idea of this product is awesome. I can’t tell you how many times I had to adjust my rifle sling before purchasing this. This kept my rifle on my shoulder and I never once had to worry about it. I gave the product 4 stars for two reasons. With a heavier pack the plastic part of this digs into your shoulder. It wasn’t awful but you could definitely tell the strap was there over time. The second reason is because of the Velcro. I honestly don’t know how else they could do about it but the strap kept sliding down my shoulder strap and I had to keep sliding it back up into place. Again, neither of these things were a huge deal and I would buy another one. In fact I bought one for a hunting buddy already.

Simple Product with Effective Results
Purchased a few of these on a whim prior to my 2018 elk season. I had issues with my backpack should straps causing my sling to move off my shoulder, resulting in me constantly readjusting my rifle sling. I had exceptional results using this Sling hook with my Mystery Ranch Metcalf pack.*Its worth noting that these hooks work best on packs with thicker shoulder straps and a sturdy support system. When applying this hook system to a pack with thin straps and a less that supportive frame system it DOES NOT work as well. The thicker the shoulder straps the better!

Wish I had known about these long ago!
Love these things. I use two when I'm out hunting, one on each should strap of my pack. I like to carry my rifle over one shoulder, and sometimes I carry a folding chair or shooting stick on the other shoulder. They don't try to slide off every 100 steps anymore! Highly recommend these hooks!

I put it on my pack today and tried it out. Works great and the sling releases when you want it to.

Not the best
It gouges my shoulder. The weight of the rifle mashes the plastic mount into my shoulder.
