Bard 18" Latex Extension Tubing

the hose is fine, plenty long enough but the fitting in the hose is too smooth and won't stay in catheter without tapping it in place. The fitting also comes out of the hose end. Had to tape it in place also. Came apart on me while I was in the store and had to run to restroom to fix it. Had to leave to store with a wet leg.

I had a catheter in me for three-and-a-half months due to an enlarged prostate. The tube extension did as advertised with no problems. Just make sure you wear a thigh strap to keep it secure in one place, attach it onto the hard plastic feeder valve as far as possible, clean with cooler water along with sanitizing with vinegar and have the ends properly lined up to prevent it from crimping.

This product was used to extend my catheter bag down to my calf instead of trying to keep it from slipping down on my thigh.I bought it in February but did not install it until April 5th, and it failed on April 7th.I tried to put it back, but it pulls out easily.Is there a glue or adhesive that would bond the plastic fitting permanently to the late tubing, or is it a throw-away item?

I was hesitant to order (after reading a few reviews that mentioned the catheter bag fell out). However, this extension works perfectly. If anything, it is sometimes TOO firm in the connection, so I do not insert as far. This was the best value, so I am perfectly happy with the success of the extension. And it was plenty long...needed to trim the length for a perfect fit! I will buy again.

I cannot rate this product because it was not what I was looking for. It is just another urinary bag extension made from latex. I was looking for a catheter extension tube with a flange that fits in a holding device.

Came apart when I put this into my leg bag. The tip separated, left me in a sticky situation when that happened!!! Wont buy again.
