Anthony'sWhole Milk Powder, 2 lb, Gluten Free, Non GMO, Made in USA

I’m not a big fan of powdered milk. I’m also not a big user of dairy in general. It’s nice to have this on hand if we need some, have a rare hankering for milk, or for baking.I tied a cup to taste it… Hmmmm. It wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t great either. However, it’s better than any other powdered milk I’ve tried. It’s a little bit more thick than other watery brands. I ended up using the cup I mixed in my coffee. I really had to work at mixing it though. Next time I’ll use boiled water , mix, and then chill.Here’s what I really like about… it’s absolutely the BEST for baking. We live off grid and bake our own bread among other things. This is great for making baked goods! It gives a nice rich flavor to my recipes, heck I didn’t know I was missing anything in my basic bread recipe until I tried Anthony’s ! My husband thought I’d completely changed my recipe but I’d simply changed the powdered milk. It’s great for making homemade milk chocolate bars too.This is a must have for people who use powdered milk in their baking. I’m not a powder ex milk drinker so take my opinion on that experience with a grain of salt….I’m going to stick witb Anthony’s brand for baking . Will be ordering more. I wish they had a larger variety of bulk sizes. The price is average for powdered milk but definitely a better quality that the more common brands.

I was not following instructions, and used less than suggested, but still, was impressed. The consistency is great, especially for my cereal. In fact, it worked very well with it as it did not steal away from it in terms of taste. I could taste the cereal, and just a hint of the milk, and it made my breakfast a whole new experience. Allergy-wise, usually, with dairy, I am bloated and itching like crazy. It is comforting to know that something like this can make a difference...

tastes like trash if you mix it with water, and tastes like a milkshake if you give up and go back to buying whole gallons, then mix the milk powder with whole milk to make wholier milk milkshakes. you find a milk powder that actually tastes good mixed with water and you let me know... somehow
