QWORK V-Belt Sheave, AK3958 Single Groove Pulley, 3.75" OD 5/8" Bore, A Belt Section, Cast Iron,for V-Belt

Not much you can say about a pulley, but looking at this closely it looks very precise with a nice paint job. I think it looks better than the picture, and that’s unusual.

It is a V belt pulley....not sure what else to say.

Great pulley, runs smoothly. Doesn't keep coming loose like my old craftsman table saw pulley.

I don't have any connection with the manufacturer or retailer, but I do admire good work. I ran a developmental machine shop for 30 years and I'm impressed by the quality and finish of this product. All surfaces have been machined, with none of the original casting surface left. The bore and the belt groove are concentric and accurate. Good quality finish treatment. This may be from China but the manufacturing quality is very high. I only needed a simple die-cast sheave for this personal project, but this is definitely industrial quality. Kudos to the maker.

Good length on the collar for the grub screws to go into. The grub screws themselves are nice quality, with anti-spin out heads.

I have a McLane edger that I bought on Craig's list, which probably dated back to the 70's. The Briggs and Stratton engine on it was basically shot. I took advantage of a sale at Harbor Freight and bought a Predator 212 engine, which fit with only a couple of minor tweaks. The shaft on the new engine was 3/4 so I couldn't use the original drive pulley. I bought this one as it is cast iron and pretty close to the same diameter. It all worked like a charm. Going this route, I have a new engine that starts on one pull (albeit Chinese knockoff) for less than I would have spent getting the old one running (if it was even possible).

The sheave was a little pricy, but everything else is great.
