So, this pump came to me in a time of need. Thousands of gallons of rainwater was flooding underground just below the grass line. The rain interfered with the septic drain field. It was an emergency. I dug a quick hole (which of course filled with water immediately), fed the intake down and ran the pump for five days straight. We put a card table over it to keep it dry. The pump is very powerful and is sensitive to the primer chamber cap being lose (just hand tighten it to keep air from creeping in and slowing the flow). Watch for clogging in the intake which might make the hose collapse on the intake side (think drinking straw with a shake that is too thick). It should not be run unattended, since if it runs dry will risk burning out. After a while I learned the sound that it makes when it got ahead of the supply of water. Pitch would rise as air entered the line, then the rain would catch up, and the pump would lower again. In other words, in my case, it would run dry for five seconds, then pump water for ten seconds, then repeat. Perfectly normal for my particular situation. Over all this is a very loud pump (sounds like industrial grade vacuum), so much so that it can be heard across several properties. I love my pump and it saved me from thousands of dollars in damage and expenses.

Didn't work. Primed it as instructions dictated and it would not work. Bought a cheap battery operated pump and it works fine. Certainly not as fast as I would like, but it gets the job done.

Great Pump. On / Off Switch is a great feature that some of the identical pumps from other manufacturers do not have.

Great Transfer PumpPumps a lot of water. I use it for my garden and the pressure is fabulous. The power cord is quite long, about 10 ft, this is very convenient. Good pressure and works great for a very reasonable price. I've used it several times for an average of 4 hours each time and has worked greatly. Meets my expectations, highly recommend!

Excellent high capacity transfer pump.

I bought this 1/2 HP pump and it worked extremely well, really powerful, durable transfer pump. It had an on/off switch on it, I am very pleased with this function. It is made of cast iron, fast and quiet and stable. High efficient pump! Love it.
