A Wonderful Mix of Songstress and Songwriter
This is a two-cd set highlighting the hits of Carole up to this date. She is both a superb singer and an outstanding songwriter. I have many of her CDs, but this is definitely an 'Essential'.

Of two discs, the main one was mission. I've begun the return process.
This is not a review of the recording, just of the product I received. The Essential Carole King contains two discs, one of King singing, another of others singing songs she wrote (mostly) the music for.This item must have been used, though I don't remember noting that online at the time of purchase. Somebody ripped off the Carole King disc.

Recovered this lady
Everything about Carole King is great. Her music is timeless. The bad is for the first time ever I have tofile a complaint. I ordered it May 2nd and the seller kept changing the due date. As it was a birthday present for someone, I tried to cancel the order with the seller two times as I kept getting sent delays in the order. The order was not cancelled even thought I explained it was a gift and I was forced to buy something else, to please cancel it, and was ignored. Told on May 16th that the order would be late again, but it showed up in my mailbox on May 18th. Over two weeks this item took to arrive. I don't ever want to buy anything from this seller again. I never even got notifications in my e-mail. Had to go on Amazon to find out the status of the order. I have bought from Amazon for many years now, and this was the first time I had a problem. In the future, when I buy CDs I will look to see whom the seller is so I don't have to deal with them.
