BEST purchase ever! I have a laundry room, well more of a closet since it's just the washer and dryer, and most of the time I hve to turn on the landing light which also means turning on the light at the stairs. Complete waste of electricity since I just need light in over the machines. I did not want to spend money having it wired for an over head light and just wanted something I could plug in with a switch. I saw this and was a little skeptical because the product photos make it look giant. I bought it and WELL WORTH IT!! It's not giant, it's not gaudy, it's simple and clean looking. The cord is covered in nylon so it's not likely to wear out and tear, it's long, and the switch is actually also a dimmer! The only thing that didn't work is the little plastic thingies they send to attach to the cord so it doesn't slip when mounted. They don't fit the size of the cord. I MacGyver'ed my way past that and set it up without them and the light looks and works great. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

The original lamp did not work but they quickly sent out a replacement and it works and looks very nice. I didn't even have to bother with sending the first one back.

The light looked good in theory, but when I started to hang it up not so much. Maybe in s different locale it would fit in but not where I wanted it. I now have 2 of these lights and would like to return them.

Very light to hang, worked perfectly for my handicapped mom over her bed.

I hate to give anything one star but less than six months later we noticed a burning plastic smell from the adjacent office in which this lamp was installed. My wife quickly noticed that the lamp in question was mysteriously off now and I rushed to find the dimmer switch portion hot to the touch and the source of the smell. Sadly I would only use this lamp a few hours a week and it saddens me to get rid of it.

This is an okay lamp. The cord is a good length but the placement of the on/off/dimmer switch sits too close to the electrical plug; if you plug it to a floor socket you'll have to reach too far down to make adjustments. The accordion style lampshade is a good idea but it is made of rubber and adjusting the "tiers" usually means all the way up or all the way down; otherwise it's just a floppy hat. Would be better if the lampshade had more rigidity or made from more a crepe like material.

Keeps turning off. We have to unscrew the bulb at least once a week and re screw it in
