Mounted this cord reed up high and out of the way. The 3 outlets are molded in a clear material with an indicator lamp to confirm power. The reel also had a red LED light to indicate power. I mounted the wall bracket with lag bolts because it is a heavy device. Cord flex is good. Locking and retraction work as expected so far.

I finally have a good cord solution for the garage. I have it mounted up high and it is out of the way when I dont need it. There are three clicks every few feet. You need to stop on one of the clicks to make it stay. To release it you need to pull it past the 3 clicks and it will retract.

Feels heavy duty, lights up the plugged outlet and has been a good addition to my garage. The only thing I’m not 100% on is the retract function not as smooth as I had expected it to be. Sometimes I have to go between few pulls and releases to let it retract all the way through.

I've mounted this in an area where I can quickly deploy for use with power tools in my back yard. It is well built, the cord itself is flexible, and I've had no trouble extending and retracting the cord on the reel. Glad I bought this unit!

The reel looks good except for the hinge bracket part as this reel is fairly heavy. Works well, should last but you can check back with me in 5 years
