This board book is just meh for us. My kids just wasn’t that interested. No great flow or rhyme. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t amazing. For the price, it’s ok!

Such a sweet story!

As we start a new year, we have hopes and dreams about what will happen. While we may not reach or conquer each and every goal, it shouldn’t stop us from trying or dreaming. This book has such a sweet message about not giving up on your dreams! It would be a great book to share when teaching about a growth mindset, too!⁣

Children loved the story

空を飛びたいペンギンのお話です。飛び方を教えてくれるflight schoolに入学しますが、同級生たちが飛べるようになる中、ペンギンだけ飛べません。意気消沈して帰宅しようとしたペンギンに対し、妙案を思いつく先生たち。ペンギンに羽をくくりつけ、そして、紐を先生が引っ張ることで空を飛ばせてあげます。夢が叶って大喜びで帰宅したペンギン。まもなく、空を飛びたい友達のダチョウを連れて戻ってきました。と言う、ストーリーなのですが。飛びたくて頑張るペンギンの気持ちになりきるのでしょう。一喜一憂しながら子供はのめり込んでいました。飛べた時は拍手喝采。英語としてはそこまで難しくなく、読みやすいです。絵が語ってくれます。
