HABA Kullerbu Traffic Jam Ball Track 33 Piece Set with Funnel

I was super excited to find this on vine - I've had my eye on them since my son was a toddler, but was always nervous to buy given his abilities to destroy most things.We just gave it to our 3 year old daughter for Christmas and it's spectacular.It's excellent quality, even the plastic parts are super sturdy. I can safely say it would have held up well to my son, and honestly wish I'd have just gone ahead and bought it for him.We did get this as vine reviewers, but I've already picked out the other tracks I'm going to buy to add on to this one. Both of my kids love it, and even my husband and I like using it with them.I love that the balls are large enough that a toddler cannot choke on them (too big to get into their mouths). They're also very easy to grasp for little hands.My 3 year old needs help still setting it up, but it's super simple and once she's had it a while and gotten used to it she'll easily be able do it herself. My 8 year old manages without any help. The parts snap together with no fuss, nothing is small or fiddly or difficult. The plastic is sturdy, my 3 year old was actually sitting in the blue tray thing while it was set up and it held her just fine.Overall, I'd recommend this to anyone.Though you'll end up wanting add on sets because it'll be a lot more fun with more track space. We're getting the music one next!

This is our first Kullerbu set and I was VERY skeptical that it could be even remotely worth the price it's sold at. I gotta say, though, it really is a wonderful toy. Both the wood and plastic parts are so well made and durable. I only have one child but I could easily see this holding up to very heavy use in a daycare or preschool environment with multiple children. The play value is really high, especially as you add more sets. Even with just the one set, my daughter has spent hours and hours reconfiguring and getting creative with the pieces to make it do different things it probably wasn't designed for. I love when we find toys that allow for that creativity. This is an excellent toy and I will be buying additional sets to add on to this one.

I wanted to give this toy five stars but it has one design flaw that makes it less than excellent. As a previous reviewer has shown in the video, the tallest support doesn't actually fasten to the "ball collector" and it only takes a small nudge from an excited TwoYearOld to topple it over. The rest of the toy is marvelous. The other pieces snap together securely. The large balls travel down the track to circle the funnel and then drop down into the lower track. Or, if the lower track has been moved out of place by the same excited TwoYearOld, the balls fall directly to the floor. All that said, the toy kept TwoYearOld entertained (with adult help) for more than an hour before he moved on to a different toy. Then, after about 10 minutes he wanted to play with it again. He wasn't able to snap the pieces into position by himself but after we built it the first time he knew where all the pieces belonged and he handed them to me to snap them in place for him. I'm considering buying more pieces for the toy so that we can build a more elaborate setup. It's fun!

This set was our introduction to Kullerbu toys, and I can see how one can get sucked in here. This set includes a funnel, a "Traffic Jam" piece, a couple of straight wooden track pieces, a couple of curved plastic track pieces, an off-ramp, two scoop-shaped start pieces, and a handful of leg and support pieces, as well as balls and dominoesThe build that they show on the front of the box is basically the most you can do with the included pieces. Even just reordering the pieces would require support pieces that you have to buy separately. And you can totally buy more pieces, but it starts to feel like nickel-and-diming at that point. The included pieces are pretty nice, though. The funnel is fun to watch, and when the balls hit it at full speed, it takes them a nice long time to finally make their way down to the hole.

We loved this! I am actually shocked by how much my two year old loves this toy, he played with it for a reallylong time once he got it, and it's been a continuing source of entertainment for him. My 4 and 6 year olds like this toy quite a lot too.Pros: fairly open ended toy, which can be configured only a few ways, but provides multiple sources of interest for children. It encourages cause and effect experimentation, and use of the scientific method in elementary age kids by forming hypotheses about what will happen if a ball is dropped from higher or if it will be faster or slower using the lever.Cons: It is limited in setup, you actually cannot put the larger parts together any other way, because the lever can requires a specific piece to connect to, and you cant just attach the chute. It gets knocked over pretty easily, and the drop chute for the bowl gets bumped out of place by eager feet fetching wayward "marbles".The quality is on point. The pieces made from plastic are made from a very sturdy hard plastic. Wooden pieces are smooth and have a good heft. This toy will last, and provides a range of fun for kids of multiple ages.

This set has been so much fun to play with! It has entertained four kids aged 2-5 for hours! I actually gave it to my niece and nephew for Christmas and my sister-in-law has since bought an additional set to use with it. The quality is great and the options are pretty much endless. This is a perfect starter set because it comes with everything you need to setup your own small ball track.
