Pretty decent for the price
Works and seems reasonably accurate, better then I expected for $22. When measuring body temp one probe is about 0.5 degrees Fahrenheit off while the other is about 1.5 degrees off. Not at all bad for such a cheap device actually way better then most common thermometers. I do not really have a good way to check the accuracy at high or low temps, but should be close enough for what I would use it for.

Good - But!
The meter is good and seems accurate. But! the dang thing turns off too quickly. I need to get a meter that i can keep on or adjust the time-out duration, especially when I am trying to monitor a critical temperature reading. I am trying to monitor the input and output water temp on a CO2 laser while it is firing and this meter keeps turning off - it is annoying. If you want to monitor a constant temp on something be prepared this is not that meter.

Seemingly very precise, accuracy is right under the rated max error.
Rated accuracy is +-2.5°C.Using an ice bath made with RO water, filled with RO water, it shows 1.3 °C on both included probes, so the precision is good, which is most important to me.My IR probe showed -1.2°C, and TDS probe showed -5°C. Since none are calibrated, who knows, but my bet is that -1.2 °C is most correct. TDS was measured at 44, so some freezing point depression probably is correct. If -1.2°C, then the error is +2.4°C, slightly under the rated +-2.5°C. I'll live with that uncertainty, not buying a NIST calibrated thermometer to check.Getting different probes tomorrow, so we'll see.

Very accurate with sensors purchased seperately
I've found this to be very accurate with the $15 sensor.

Very good termometer
I tested the accuracy - it is within .5C that it is very good for his class.I use primarly to water temperature, and it is what I want. I bought sturdier probes for my usage, since the ones that come with the thermometer are and damageable.

Accuracy Issues
The meter itself is fine, but the thermocouples supplied are questionable. Plugged both into meter, and placed both in refrigerator taped together. Reading from one T/C was intermittent and varied wildly. Bought better TC's (the 3-pk for about $12 on Amazon). Readings from them were stable and consistent.

Temperatures are not consistent or correct
Using Ice bath, the two type K probes had a 4-degree discrepancy while immersed in the same container side by side. Also, an ice bath is 32 degrees f not 45 to 49 degrees. If using for exact scientific or troubleshooting purposes I cannot recommend.

Easy to use and accurate
I have compared this meter with an RTD meter that I designed many years ago. I was pleased to see that the reading on my old meter matched up well with this meter.
